Ya so in case ya didnt notice in the other pics, I cut the hell out of the firewall so it was dead flat. I then started to re-sheet it last night. Also moved the steering column hole up altho its mad close to the booster now so i may need to do something with that when the time comes. I didnt go to work today tho because of the damn blizzard we got heh

Re: -[Project]- Orange Sonoma Resurrection

Got a bit more done on monday, some more sheetmetal on the firewall shaving the rest of the holes and unwanted bumps and dips, finished the sheetmetal inside with the tranny tunnel and back wall, and seam sealed it all. also notched the frame for tierods and other shit..

Re: -[Project]- Orange Sonoma Resurrection

i use .023 or .025 for sheetmetal and my 110v welder. the brush-on sealer there is made by Transstar, i forget the #. i also use a caulking tube style made by SEM i think.

Re: -[Project]- Orange Sonoma Resurrection

Little update..brians been coming down more often and I have him doing some clean up on the truck since Im working on other projects. I first welded up most of the unwanted holes in the frame and then brian primed and undercoated it. Then he did some clean up on the bottom of the cab and undercoated all that too.
