Re: [Project] Orange Sonoma Resurrection

its not gonna be anywhere near ready, im done working on it for this portion, i have a lot of other trucks scheduled in here for work.

ya shortening the lowers might help but i dunno, its like im gonna need the pinion 2-3" lower to clear that driveshaft. if you look at the pic, the axle isnt even all the way up, it still has an inch to go but the bags are compressed all the way. ill need to either lengthed the chromed dogbones or slap in some 1" blocks...this is why you dont paint/chrome stuff until its mocked up.

Didn't you have a thread awhile back where the kp 6 link wasn't laying out. And you lengthend the dogbones or something? Or am I thinking about someone else?

Re: -[Project]- Orange Sonoma Resurrection

dave... did you roll the beads then cut it to fit.. or over cut on the piece then roll the beads?

when you raised that up.. did you just take it off that little hump it has right along the door jam there and just go stright over?

get a closer pictures on one of the sections

Re: -[Project]- Orange Sonoma Resurrection

i think you guys are getting confused, again. the last time this truck was in one piece, they didnt even have video cameras haha.

youre getting it confused with the other brians (sn shvdnlaid) GOLD S10.. --> http://afterhoursfabrication.com/bag...ss10/index.htm

this is brians (sn orangesonoma) orange sonoma --> http://afterhoursfabrication.com/bod...iansjunkon.jpg

drps10, i cut the panels to fit and then rolled the beads, they dont noticably shink the panel to affect anything. they go right up to where that hump is by the door sill and just go straight across, you lose maybe 1" of footroom, if that. the panels can be made lower but i like to keep a fingers width of space away from the frame and components.

Re: -[Project]- Orange Sonoma Resurrection

thanks. well, we wanted to have it running this week, but thats not gonna happen if the engine needs work. but it prolly wont be on the road until all the bodywork and paint is done, and it took the shop 6 months to paint his blazer..

Nice, how are the laws over there? regarding the engine swap. The emission laws suck balls here in CA.
