Some of the Oaktown guys are going down to Dropt & Destroyed this year if you want to roll down with us. Last year there were some guys from AV there too. We usually take off from Troy, MI and roll down I-75. It's about a 4 hour drive from there if I remember right. Not bad.

I don't think I will ever sell them. Sorry. They are 20x9.5 w/3" or 3.5 B.S. though.

Thats cool. We'll have to see when its closer to the show to see how far along I am. I want to drive it around town for awhile to work out any bugs before a long road trip. I don't want to trailer it.

Cool man. I'm in the same boat. I just reworked my air setup and a few other things. I want to make sure it's dependable before taking it down there.

Re: Project "Miss Stress"

Got the new shifter the other day and a proportioning valve for the brakes. Seats and shift boot should be here this week. The exterior of the bed is almost done. (ready for paint) I am still running through ideas for the inside of the bed. I don't think I will have that done before the Dropt Out show.

Might have a propect on selling the smoothies though. But only after that show. Then I'll sell them.

Re: Project "Miss Stress"

Eh, I'm not in much better shape than you man. I made it to our show in late May and then the DI show a few weeks later. It ran great, leaked a little oil, but over all it did good. It had no problem staying cool either now that I have the e-fans working correctly. I had a couple loose wiring connections that I wanted to improve so I fixed that. Then I decided to rerun the air so I could relocate the air tanks...

I thought it was going to be some fairly quick work. Once I got into it I started realizing a bunch of things I could do so the entire air setup would be under the truck, including the air tank. It's taken a lot of work but everything's relocated now. It looks SO much better. I'm going to take care of a few small things and call it a wrap for the week so I can cruise Woodward this weekend. Then it'll be back in the garage so I can change all the air line from PTC to Push-Loc to make the air setup as bulletproof as possible for the trip down to Dropt N Destroyed.

It seems like it's a never ending series of fixes and upgrades, especially since I'm no master mechanic. It's been a huge learning experience but I'm real happy with how it's going and the fact that I can say I did a lot of it myself.

Re: Project "Miss Stress"

Yeah I hear ya. I'm learning some good lessons right now. I could have had the truck out to alot of shows this year but I'd be spending all my time fixing them later. I have already redone enough I don't need to do anything over.

There will be some things unfinished but I want a reliable, streetable truck so I'm taking my time.

I've got lots of brand new parts sitting on the shelves cause I was going to use them then I thought about something that would be better or more reliable. (2 power steering pumps, shifter, headers, seats, hoods, intakes, bed, wheels, etc.) It is truely a learning experience!

I'm glad to hear of anyone hiding the airride parts under the truck, so things just shouldn't be visible. Keeps people guessing.

Let me know when you're having a garage sale.

I agree, especially in an SUV. This winter I think I'm going to redo the rear seat so I can fit 2 Optimas under it too. We'll see how that goes...

Re: Project "Miss Stress"

It was fun while it lasted though!!!

Progress is being made. In a week it will be road worthy.

Problem: Ordered seats and have been waiting for almost 2 months. The guy keeps saying they are done, even sent me a DHL tracking number but it doesn't work. Now will not answer e-mail or phone calls. I'm definetely getting pissed off. Measures will be taken soon.

Re: Project "Miss Stress"

Not anyone on here. I bought new seats (custom material and stitching) about 2 months ago and the guy said it would be about 2weeks to get them. Still haven't got them.

Doesn't look like I'm going to Dropt Out either.

Re: Project "Miss Stress"

sadly, no, I didnt buy the truck, although if the oppourtunity ever arose and I had the funds I sure would lol.

Looks like the weekend of dropt out I'll be moving myself and future wife into our house, so then I can actually work on the sonoma, which will entail pulling the front end apart for larger wheels

Re: Project "Miss Stress"

Congrats on getting a house.

Too bad I won't get to go to a show this year. Actually a Total Mayhem they are having a show on Oct. 4 I think. My truck will probably still be there for that.

I need to find other seats now. Might get some 69 camaro buckets from some old guy here in Flint.

Re: Project "Miss Stress"

I don't know where Arnold grew up but I know Hitler grew up there. They don't talk much about him over there though. But ya, I have to go there for work. Luckly I convinced them to hold off on sending me for another week so I could do the Dropt Out show. After that the truck's going in the garage so I can start on some interior stuff after Thanksgiving.

Thanks. They are hedmans. We just moved the collectors down and welded the flanges on. BTW it never went to an exhaust shop, Total Mayhem did it.
