I have hedman headers but if you intend on lowering your motor this way you should build your own or get advanced adapters headers. Anyways these are AFCO solid motor mounts and midplates. They will be gusseted properly after mock up.

I also used a flaming river manual steering box to further lighten the truck.

Re: Project "Miss Stress"

So last weekend I had some time to work on the truck. I managed to get one of the tubs trimmed and tacked in place and the other trimmed to fit. I also put some MIC manual valves on (front/back) so I can move it easier. And I put the drivers seat in. Next I have to finish the tranny tunnel and modify the seat bracket or get something else to work better. Getting some gauges soon hopefully so I can wrap up the dash.

Re: Project "Miss Stress"

Mine is a 14 gal. and I think it will just fit in a stepside. You can get them with a filler on the side or center too I think. Are you using a stock motor?

Mapquest says it take 4 hr. 56 min. to get to you. I might have to think it over. Thanks for the offer. I'll let you know really soon if I can do it or not. But anyway Is the frame stock or ....... got any pics of how it sets now?

Re: Project "Miss Stress"

Dude don't POR that frame, it won't do it justice. Prime and paint that shit body color, or use that rattle can epoxy chassis black frame paint. I think Eastwood Co. makes some.

I dunno it's your ride, but I think it would look soooooo much better all smooth-(not necessarily shiny), that POR stuff won't look as good.

IMO it's your ride...looks friggin sweet.

I just remembered what your dash reminded me of...I used to have a 77 pontiac Firebird...it reminds me of those 80's style Trams Am dashes from back in the day...specially the stainless turned look...nice.

Thanks man. We'll have to see on the frame, you won't see it anyways.
The dash is my favorite part about the truck so far. It took a while to make but it sets it off. And I'm trying to stay with the buick, pontiac, gmc theme rather then the chevy. Also keeping that 70s british touring car flavor. Still going with plaid inserts in some new seats too. I just wish I would have done a manual trans.

Re: Project "Miss Stress"

I almost bought a '64 bug this summer. That material is sweet. I can't wait til X-mas I'm getting some gauges, then I can see what colors to use on the dash. Haven't found the right one yet. Anyone have any suggestions for gauges that aren't a million dollars? I like Classic Instrument gauges, and the new SPEK ones but their alittle pricey!

Re: Project "Miss Stress"

Thanks, your trucks sweet. The dash is hand made, didn't really draw anything out just started and kept going. Going with 3 2" temp, volt, oil pressure; 3 3/8" tach and speedo.
