Project "Miss Stress"

I'll start of by saying this, "This Truck Has Taken Too Long!"

This will be its last winter in the garage and done or unfinished it will drive this spring. I will post some pics of times past later when I scan some into the computer but for now these recent pics should do.

Enjoy!

Re: Project "Miss Stress"

Basically I need to run all the lines, (air, brake, fuel), wiring. Finish Tubs in bed, dash board, make center console, door panels. Add a couple of x-members for air tank and compressor, and mount shocks. Take it all apart again paint the frame w/ por. Paint dash and interior, then paint the body.
Thinking of doing some more metal work to the body (tail light conversion and make a filler panel for between the grille and bumper.

I'm currently looking for a rear disk upgrade. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Also going to get at the motor soon, gaskets, paint, change the intake, powder coat some parts, new bolt kit, etc.

And always looking for different wheels, this is the 4th set. The TT2s and smoothies are still brand new, never been driven on.

Re: Project "Miss Stress"

With the other bed I have and this cab I just picked up last night I hope to have another roller mocked up by around Xmas.

I need a front end and doors and the body will be complete. I will use the TTs I have for the wheels. Thinking about the frame now. Tossing around ideas.

Heres some pics of the bed and wheels I'll be using. Will set up the front for 20s instead of the 17s.

Re: Project "Miss Stress"

Ya it was on my desktop for awhile also. lOl Thanks everyone.

Ok I took the cab off the trailer by myself today. Actually wasn't that hard. It really needs cab corners and rockers. Anyone know how much they are off hand?

Re: Project "Miss Stress"

Looking for a front clip for the new cab. I have control arms, stock spindles, rotors, bags and cups. just need steering linkage and the front chassis will be rollin. Actually a guy has a frame for sale, is $225 a good price with a notch already. was thinking of building the frame but I don't know.

Re: Project "Miss Stress"

I ordered my truck brand new in '99 and got a '00 model. I was a stepside V6 5speed. So when I bodydropped it I put in a SBC and got the wheels and widened the bed. That was in 2003. So I have had that bed stored away since that blue and silver dually came out. and I got new wheels and a fleetside bed.

So now I got another truck to go with the dually bed and since everyone wants see the bodydropped phantom I am now going to do it.

Re: Project "Miss Stress"

cab corners are $60 each, not sure on rockers. They don't list them for extended cabs.
