Re: Project BD stevo's ride

werd, like stevo said the boot binds pretty hard. I did not do it on mine but it will be getting done later on, you can almost stick a finger through it. I was also concerned with water possibly leaking in, its not hard to do and the steering column is where it is supposed to be. You can see how much i moved it in the pic, pretty much 3/8". i just put the steering column in then slid the boot over it made it centered then tacked it into place. On that tilt column i am not too sure, i would not think it would be extremly difficult just get one out of the year of your truck or close to it and possibly switch over the wireing harness.

Re: Project BD stevo's ride

its about time this thread made it to 2 pages, i was begining to think it was only going to be one page long. Anyways here is a few left over pics from the weekend-

In the first pic the road is crowned so the trans x member is laying down before anything else.

Thanks, they could be angled a little more on the rear portions but then you would have to make 2 seat mounting locations.

Re: Project BD stevo's ride

ya i know you dont have anything better to do than work on my truck lol. got the hydro line in and the new fitting (which was wrong) so im sending the line and old fittings to ya tomorrow. the line looks like shop air line and its orange but the dude from hyspeco said it will hold upto like 300 psi. so i guess we'll see.

I still have to do the top, the radiator will remove just like stock.

thanks man, thats accually the main wireing harness bundle i guess you would call it and yeah it partially goes where the heater hoses used to run. Its really not too bad to put all the wireing behind the dash i only hand to extend about 20 wires.

mostly clearance towards the front of the motor, and gear box. It also give nice clearance for an e-fan. I just put the radiator support in where it was centered then marked what needed to be trimed and cut it out, i also cut the top layer of the bottom of the rad support out. If you use a plasma it would be pretty easy.

Re: Project BD stevo's ride

I made a peice of metal and drilled a 1" hole in it then cut the peice in 2 so it can fit around the wireing harness. The harness has convoluted wire loom over in and is wrapped in electrical tape and the gaps are sealed with butyl tape. The panel itsef is just screwed in so its removable fairly easy.
