Numatik's Bodied s10- WINTER 09 build! LOWER AND LOUDER!

Okay so here are the plans this is my 2003 s10
here is how it currently lays

here is the agenda

* BODYDROP, yes again 3 more inches totalling 6.5" of bodydrop!, alot lower this time! to the doors! (actually a bit past them

)
- full 2x3 frame
- fixing dump bed linkage and articulation to sit 90 degrees like it was originally designed for. the only thing that needs to be changed is the amount of stroke
- relocating brake booster 2" to clear the truck 3 inches lower

*STEREO
-4 pairs of T3 6.5" components, 3 pairs for the doors, pair for the dash
- second T400-4 on a amp rack im fabbin under the dash
- second T4k
- second alt? if i cant fit it after the bodydrop.... wel see....
- 3sixty.2
- i doubt il be in budget, but i would like all new batterys, 6 d3100s....

*INTERIOR
- full fiberglass doorpanels with 3 speakers and 3 tweeters in each door
- full fiberglass dash (not bezel, whole dash!) with amp rack underneath for 4channel amps, and 2 speakers
- wrap everything in leather/vinyl whatever i can afford when i get that far. seats, door panels, dash, headliner
- finish led conversion inside (currently about 80% done, but wanna make a custom domelight on the top of the wall)
- possibly do a gauge and instrument conversion

*MISC
-suicide the doors ( iv had the hinges for over a year, just been procrastinating)
-finish front end sonoma conversion (currently 90% done need a new bumper)
-swap my 10k hids for 12k (im an hid dealer hit me up if you need some!)
-rhinoline entire frame and underside of cab and bed

and im sure theres more i cant think of off the top of my head. stay tuned!!

started tearing out the front, here it is with my 2" drop spindle removed and replaced with a stock spindle. by doing this it changes the geometry of the suspension allowing more camber. more camber = more hood clearance, but more hood clearance requires more space around the engine bay. laying big wheels is all about sacrifices....

here is a mockup up of where the wheel will be when im on the doors. if you loo back in my thread ul see that before this rebuild my tires were about 1/2in away from the hood, now there right there but im going down another 2.5inches. so you see where the camber comes in. with drop spindles it would be wayyyyy above

Looks good,

But you got your spindles bacwards. Drops will have less camber. Meaning the tire sits flatter on the ground, making it not as tall. Stocks will have more camber and the tire will tip up on its sie more, making it taller.

Rest is lookin good tho!

yeah i uploaded the wrong pics on smd, forgot to go back and edit. the pic of the wheel above the fender is with a drop spindle. when i mocked up my stock spindle it clears

anyways, i wasnt gonna post this build on here cause alot of people like to flame everything (not directed at you get_low your cool and have been very helpful in the past!!!!) thats why i put it on smd. but if people are interested il keep this one updated. i think my boy minel posted it all up.

this is gonna be a 6.5inbd 3/4frame to doors with 20s, and i still have all 10 10" woofers but am looking to do more, but that will unveil itself later in the build. I hope slappy mcnasty tunes in cause he is the one who inspired what im about to do.... wont post the secret till i have pics

got some work done today:

stripped the front end apart. everything is free and the cab is ready to come off.

close of up cavilier intake manifold amd big and juicy large case 250a custom alt from mechman. thats right, large case on a 2.2l s10 :crazy:

then i started pulling the windows. only the rear 3, this will make sense later in the build. again, im sure if you think you know what im doing, you dont

alot of 1/0awg lol. took me like 2 hrs to get it all out

inside the cab. damn even more tools all over the place!!

and finally 6 body bolts. and im picking up a bigggggg toy tonight. il post pics and hopefully leave you guys scratching your heads

got the cab off

damn forgot i still gotta finish that front end conversion lol. least of my worries right now

and picked this up saturday

and cut it up 30 seconds after we carried into the garage with the plasma. bye bye floor

then cut the rockers off, and 1/8in into the door

more updates soon. i promoise you all this build is about to get very very very interesting...

thats what made me originally body this one was havin my own garage. it makes it so nice! just get cool with your neighbors from the get go, i still have a couple haters, but for the most part they just come over confused all the time asking what im making lol. i remember sitting in this dime at a fresno show just a month ago or so (i have pics of it) and i have to say, the stereo is one of the loudest systems (in a daily, non-sponsored truck) that i have ever sat in. totally friggin insane, so much in fact that if i didnt have kids before, i wouldnt be able to. shook my 2 or 3 brain cells to pieces.

hopefully this time around il have more to offer then the bass, so far everything is moving along smoothly. and having a plasma cutter is sure making this alot easier this time around!

oops! 100$ spent at harbor freight today. went to get a saw zaw i saw on sale and god damn left with a ton of shit. and i gotta go back this weekend and get some more stuff, i didnt have enough cash to buy it all. so now im broke till i get paid tonight lol

picked up that saw zaw (24 bucks! **** yeah! and im gonna beat the shit out of it!)

lol the new cab is so he can suicide the doors. the other cab is a 3rd door cab so he got the new one so he can suicide it. well thats what i think anyways.

its so funny you guys came up with every possible scenerio for that extra cab but the suicide doors idea. he mentioned it in the first post. ive had the hinges over a year and havent got around to it. then u see a picture of his RF amp and the 3rd door is open. this one u can clearly see isnt a 3rd door or i couldnt tell at least.

There will def be some very useful bodydroppin info in this thread, however, i also have my own ways of doing other things. the only bolt on peice on this truck are my a arms, everything else is custom. this is a 3/4 frame build as well but that wont begin for another month. any questions you have feel free to ask!
