Re: My project s-10

i HATED the way it looked with the radius corner. it just never looked as good as i wanted it too. i'm thinking of cutting the corner again but only a small like 3/4" of 1" radius. the way i had it just looked bad. it is hard to explain unless you saw it in person, but it just looked bad

yeah i like it a lot better already with the stock corner back but i'm trying to make it so there are no square corners on the truck. so i'm going to put a small 1" radius on the corners

Re: My project s-10

This is going to be good! You do awesome work, it gives me lots of inspiration for my project. I just wish I could get it the 300 miles to where I live now. I did get my garage all cleaned up and ready and I'm starting to design my frame table. So I'll probly have lots of questions for you I'm planning on going the same route as your cab and bed, custom floor/ firewall and sheet metal bed. Are you going to skin the bottom of your cab floor? I just wondered if people do that or if it is necessary.

300 miles that's not that far lol

Thats what I was thinking too and even possibly insulating it with some high temp stuff.

Thats a good idea, maybe somehow you could put some sort of sound detner between the 2 floors. Just make sure it doesn't catch on fire!

Re: My project s-10

yeah that's the plan. was going to try to find some sort of heat resistant material to put between the 2 piece to try a keep the floor a little cooler. being that the exhaust in only like 1" off the bottom of the floor anything will help

Re: My project s-10

yeah I'm just getting desperate, I need to work on it! When I get it here I'll finish stripping it down the rest of the way, build a frame table and start pickin away. I'm just going to take it one part at a time, 4 years ago when I started it I had 3 other huge projects going at it was too much. I'm going to try not to start any other part till I finish the one before.

Re: My project s-10

thanks guys

well got a lot more done last night. got about 80% of the tubing done for the driver's side floor. just have to finish up around the header and transmission now. also got the mounts for the driver's seat done too. thinking i may have to go get some 1/4" rod to finish around the header, but that can wait till next weekend. going to use the rod to build the transmission too.
