Re: My project s-10

looking good so far I do admire your talent and skills

I do know that you are planning to leave the bed box see thru but are you planning to at least run an inner fender well over the top half of the tires in there? I would recommend it cause if you ever want to cruize this or maybe run it down a strip now and then it would be a good safety item cause it would only take a small rock or what ever piece debris to hit that back window and chink its gone! rember the side and rear windows are not laminated like the windshield is! so they dont take debris his as well! just my 2 cents worth....

Yeah, that sucks man, hopefully it's not for to long. I've read your entire thread over the last couple days and your truck is amazing. Incredible detail and talent went into that thing.

Re: My project s-10

hey it may have been answered already somewhere in here. But what type and size tubing did you use for the frame/body/bed floor mounts? Also what did you use to bend all of it? Oh what size sheet metal are the bottom pieces for the battery tray?

Cant wait to see you start on the other areas of the truck if the frame is getting this much attention. Keep up the great work!! I know it inspires me and a lot of other guys.

Re: My project s-10

the rails themselves are 2 x 3 3/16" wall all miter cut joint with 1/4" fish plates for added strength.

all the tubing(body mounts, cross-members, and bag mounts) is 1.25 O.D DOM 3/16" wall.

all the tubing was bended with my jd Model 3 Bender tubing bender. all by hand i most add.

i used 1/8" plate for the battery trays

thanks. hopefully it will turn out as nice lol
