Right on man, your truck and your work is bad ass. I really appreciate the fact that you are doing some different stuff with your truck. Keep up updated on it, it looks sick!

Thanks i guess that i just like to see if i can do it. With an s-10 it is hard to be one of a kind with out pushing the envelop a little. i just hope that it look as good in metal as it does in my mind.

i like the look of a longer bed but i can see how that is a little excessive with a 8" bodydrop. man 8" that is ridulous.

Re: My project s-10

This may be a pretty stupid question but the table that truck is sitting on, it is made totally of wood? I can only see wood, so I am curious to know if there are any metal reinforcements on the under side. My next stupid question is how are you gonna get the truck off of said table? Will the truck be torn back down and final assembled on the floor?

The truck is sick man, and you certainly have a nice project going! Good luck with it!

yes it does. it is something i did when the bed was full length and i was going to try and run 20"s. but after doing the section and thing it just looks like sh!t so i'm going to run 18"s and put the bed back to normal.

yep it is all wood and lots of it 2 X 6 and 4 x 4. there is no metal in the whole table just the truck sitting on it. the truck is already off the table. i just torn it down to the frame and motor and wheeled it off, then put it back together to go on the trailer.

you dont really have to know anyone, just go to a carshow you know is covered by a magazine, or magazines. if you do your truck right and show up with it painted and running theres no way they would pass you up for a cookie cutter s10 with bags and a bodydrop.

well that total but there are a lot of nice dimes out there. but hopefully you are right. it would the Ultimate Honor to be on the cover or to get a feacher(sp) in MT or any other mag of that matter.

well it was sectioned and tubed for 20's but it looks like sh!t after the section so now i'm going to cut the skin off it and just junk the rest of it and start over with new bed side

i wouldnt do that. i would cut out the section of the bed rail that sticks up and make a new flat top rail and run 18s like you were saying. then either reskin the inside of the bed or finish enclosing it. when the bed floor is solid one piece it amazing the difference it will make in the overall bed stability. dont give up on it yet.

it is easier to just start over on it. it would take my less time to build a whole new bed than to fix the tube i put in. plus it is better for the finish product. less seems and cracks to worry about down the road. an i'm only using bed side not a whole new bed. with the plan i have in mind for the bed it would a big waste to cut up a new bed. basically it is going to be 100% CUSTOM BUILD
