Sorry this is just my rant.

Opened the shop this morning to see the truck sitting on blocks!!! This is the 2nd set of 22's I've had stolen since I been living here.

Really bites ass because this week I've been pulling long hours doing some bodywork to get it half ass presentable for the Sic Nic show this weekend. Now I dont even have a set of stocks to throw on it.

And the dumbest part, my buddy borrowed my jack the other day so these theives had the smarts to bring their own jack & lug wrench, sit in there long enough to jack up a BD'd truck on 22's, do all that work..............
and left the 8 box of brand new 3/8" valves, new RCI 10 gal fuel cell, all the bags not on the truck, box of new billet mirrors, air tank, all power tools, etc.

All of those items are new in boxes just sitting there, worth money, and they were too lazy to take this stuff, but do the work for the wheels.............and I still got the f'n center caps.

Ever look into getting an alarm on your shop?...it would be worth the money in the long run if this is your second set.

Well, it's actually in someone elses shop. But the first set was taken out the back of my truck here at home when I first moved here.

But the shop the trucks in doesnt even have power. I ended up using that shop so I wouldn't be building in the driveway and out of weather. And to also be able to lock things up to help prevent this kinda shit.

It really sucks because shit like this KILLS any motivation on the build. I'm bout to the point now to just sell the project and drop out for good.

man i feel ya. mon night i had a guy get in my daily driver and stole my 20 cdplayer. when two spots over my lowrider was sitting there with about 3000 worth of all my airsuspension work,bags,tank,comps,upper/lower arms,headers,etc... and it was never touched.

That's the craziest part of all of it. VERY few new that my buddy borrowed the floor jack, shop was locked....yet it wasnt broken into.....mysteriously the side doors unlocked now.........which is very much pointing at the shop owners 17yo son......which is supposed to be a friend. Everythings pointing at him right now, just dont have the concrete details to prove it.

what is the setting of the shop? in the city etc ,any traffic in and out of the shop?maybe with the missing center caps they will be easy to find. check craigslist. play it smooth check everybodys body language when you talk about your wheels being stolen trust me thats the best way to find that piece of shit.

The shops not any kind of actual shop or anything. It's just my neighbors shop behind her house. Like I sad, there's not even power there, basically an unfinished 1 car garage behind their house. What we did was, I have the pad lock on the roll up door & she has the key to the side door so we each can access when needed. The side door is what was unlocked / used for the theft, so the only way for that to be opened is with her key (take note she is a cop...go figure) so it had to be her son who unlocked it after I left around 10pm last night.

She told me he went in there later last night supposedly looking for a muffler for his truck...????? in the dark....no power....lookin for a damn muffler?? Then other neighbors said his truck was backed in last night, which is unusual, and the noticable tracks leaving out of that side door head straight to where his truck was. It's fairly obvious it was him or he atleast knew or took part. But these little things arent enough for the police.

It's enough for me and most likely some of you to go ahead and kill his ass, but I'm still holding off till I get some more info on it. He's kind of one of those slow stoner type country boys, so at some point somethings going to slip out. He'll **** up somewhere's, then that's his ass........we'll both be heading to jail.

first go make a police report with out one you have nothing.. then check the local pawn shops and ask i any on has pawned a set lately by law if you tell them you had a set stolen you want to check to make sure that yours are no there. if they will have the name of the person and video of them pawning them.....

you could do what one of my friends did with his wheels. he bought a scribe kit form snap on, and wrote his name and address on the inside of his wheels. sure enough they got stolen and where he had put his name addresss somebody tried to grind it down. but most of his addy was still there. just a thought but he did get lucky finding them.(on another guys truck) LOL that truck was totaled in about 15 minutes with 4 people with sledge hammers. guess thats just good ol' street justice. soory so long there is my 2 pennies

from my experiences a police report isnt going to do anything, our house got broken into about a year ago and they literally stripped it from everything valuable, all my moms jewelry, a few of my dads GUNS, an a bunch of other stuff, the police never dusted for prints or anything, they took a few things for finger prints back to the lab i guess, one which was a piece of china(plate) which my grandma gave to my mom, we never heard from them and cant really get our things back from the police, just seemed like we were robbed twice...

This is the same shit we deal with from our police. We've had the cops take a rifle before "thinking" it was stolen. Well it was my dads, he has papers, all the legit shit. Today even the police cant explain wherethe gun is....and they're the ones who confiscated it.

My last set of 22's that were stolen, the cop only jotted some info on a piece of paper. We asked him to print the truck, he said it's pointless. And all he wrote on that piece of paper was "22 inch chrome rims" No name brand or specific description, didnt really ask any other questions. Then a few months later the girlfriend goes up there to check the status only to find that the officer never filed the report. So we had to redo it right then..........but it's months down the road, those wheels are long gone without any attempt from the police to find them or find who stole them.

Now with this set, the officer that came out honestly seemed half-ass interested. But he knows the kid that I'm thinking took them and his first reaction was he thinks the same. Still, all he was able to do was take pictures and take my statements. He did take a sign from the shop that looked to have a good print.

On a semi good note, got a call from a buddy today who said another buddy had a guy trying to sell him some "clean ass 22's". This guy was supposedly saying these wheels werebehind some guys house.............and to top it off, when this buddy said he wanted them, the guy told him he needs to talk to Zach<<<<<<<<<<<<<<the kid where my truck is....the one we're thinking took them. So hopefully when I get home from this hospital I can go talk to some buds and get this other guys name. Hopefully get some type of concreteevidence, proof, or maybe even a lead to where-ever the wheels are. I just hope I can get enough to get this kid charged with it. He's got a record already but it's all juvy. Unfortunately for him, he's now 17 which makes him charged as an adult here, and the value of the wheels / theft makes it a felony. Mommy wont be able to get him out of this one.

my landlord had a 4 wheeler, pressure washer, and lawn mower stolen ... the cop made the report handed it in ... they got a call from the detective ... that was it ... well she posted stuff on craigslist with a reward offering ... a guy called and told her who it was and where he picked it up from ... they recovered everything because she had to do it on her own ... which isnt right ... but they are looking for the theif ... and ive known him for 20 years ... and just picked up his brother for basically hiding stolen property ... but yeah cops are assholes and dont care if its something that small ... you will find them man sounds like you are on the right track ...

I would try to get a buddy to "be interested in them", have the buddy meet up with him and take pics and junk, then somehow you come in while hes talkin to your buddy and be like:

"okay kid, i got all the evidence i need to put your ass in jail right now, or you give me my rims back right now and this all goes away"

Chances are, he would give you the rims back in a sec before going to jail.

That's basically my next move, just getting my hand around his throat until he spills the details. Problem right now is he wont come home. Lil ****s avoiding me at all cost now, which proves even more guilty.

I may never see the wheels again but really dont care there. That's material and wheels are a dime a dozen. The main thing that pisses me off more than anything is having this done from someone who's spose to be a friend.....he's actually supposed to be helping build the damn truck. So I didnt just get jacked from some stranger. It's really ****ed up when you cant even trust the people you hang around.

But unless he slips up some wheres, I'm pretty s8ure the police aintgonna do much more than they already have. It'll basically be up to me to continue with my way of investigating and hoping one of these dumb kids spill. Either way this kid just signed his life away to me. shit i would have an alarm set up for if its lifted off the ground i would go off kinna like the hood button on some alarms... have it set up inside of the frame like a bump stop lol.... or just set up a cam. with motion sensor and stash it in the corner of the shop when you leave.......

I've been checking E-bay & CL daily, so far no luck there.......but half of these morons around here dont have computers......they done smoked that shit up, lol.

Still no updates from me or the police............but on a better note, the kid finally got the balls to walk over here today. I held off on hurting until I get some better proof........but I was so deep in his face the whole time that he prolly still has my nose print in his face. Definately put some major fear in his ass. Cant really say that it's going to get the wheels back or get him to fess up to anything, but he does know now that I aint no bitch and that if the rims dont show back up here within the next week, next time things wont go so well for him.
