Re: Layin Body on 22's ---project:MT Centerfold by 1baggeds10

Thanks for the comment guys. Well a small update, I finished the rest of the system wiring but I think my hifonics amp is going bad. I started to get a hiss on channel 2 but channel 1,3,and 4 were perfect. So i isolated the amp by disconnecting the RCA's and only having power connected directly to batt. I also connected different speakers as close to the amp and away from power wires as much as i could but the hiss is still there. Also, when I start turning the HPF knob, the speaker starts jumping everywhere like crazy and the bass goes away. Oh well, new amp time!!!

Other than that, im just still waiting on interior, now im really getting anxious! Once I get my dash in, I can finally start my center console!!!

Re: Layin Body on 22's ---project:MT Centerfold by 1baggeds10

Well since I have to wait on my junk, I thought I would post some pics of a couple of projects im helping my buddies with. First being my boy Bryans Chevy Luv. body dropped almost to the doors.

Here it is measured at 44 and a half inches I think. Now we just have to build a floor for it. He wants it doored so we are going to over body it so he can drag the rest off.

Ive also been helping our other buddy with his toyota pickup. It all started with a chop top but then he decided he wanted to section the truck 2 inches. It was already body dropped when he got it.

Theres a lot of work ahead for this one. We still havent done the doors so it should be fun. This was my first chop and so far so good. I wanted to do a stock window for this thing. Now I feel pretty confident to do it to mine.

Ok fellas, got some updates. I just couldnt stand the exhaust just ending behind the muffler the way it was but I thought it would be to hard to run the exhaust all the way back, well guess what... It was! but i did it.

[IMG][/IMG]

Im gonna cut 2 holes in the role pan and have about half an inch of a chrome tip stick out.

here are some random no bed pics.

I wish I took pics before I put the bed back on but I spray bombed the differential red and painted the frame gloss black and cleaned up the wiring on the notch and put loom on it. It looks much better!

Re: Layin Body on 22's ---project:MT Centerfold by 1baggeds10

Ok peeps, finally got an exciting update. I got some interior pieces in to show how the final interior is going to look. 2 door panels and the dash. Let me know what you think.

I really dont like that the door panel is 4 pieces but I guess I have to deal cuz I do like all the curves in the door. If I keep looking at the pieces, they seem to be crooked. Ill have to redo them again. but thats it for now.

Ok so I keep looking at the panel and I dont like it. Im gonna take off the armrest and small panel, uncover them, glass them together to be one piece and reupholster them in black. I think it will break up the colors well.

I know my phone camera sucks bad, the brown vynil looks red in the pictures, Ill have to get some high quality pics when this thing is done.

Re: Layin Body on 22's ---project:MT Centerfold by 1baggeds10

The orignal plan was to have 4 speakers across the dash and the one on the farthest left would have actually acted as an access hole to get to the brake resiovor but it didnt happen for some reason. The part that is painted orange on the dash is going to be covered in black so it will flow a little better. Ill get some more pics tonight.

Re: Layin Body on 22's ---project:MT Centerfold by 1baggeds10

My upholstery guy just stitched it all together, layed 1/4 inch foam and covered it. you gotta see it in person, the pictures just dont do it. Anyhow here are the pics of the dash of how it will look when fully assembled.

Im thinking of putting the other 2 speaker grills on the sides to kinda fill in the sides after all or just leave the 2 and paint them black. not too sure yet, hopefully I can find the same kind of speaker grills.

I think sunroofs look awesome on trucks. I want to go T-top eventually...but the more i see sunroofs the more i get pulled in that direction

Thanks, No rush on those pictures though...i just keep having the urge to do a blowthrough and love to see the ways that other people have done them...but i want to get a beater car and get out of school first...so you have a few years to post them...haha

Re: Layin Body on 22's ---project:MT Centerfold by 1baggeds10

Ok so I put in the newly upholstered door panels and checked them out in the truck. I wasnt really feeling them so I took them back apart. I didnt see it neccessary to have the arm rest and that front panel be two seperate parts so I decided to glass them together.

After I did this, I really liked it a lot better but then I was thinking about where my tweeter should go so then I thought I should glass them into this part of the door. Let me know what you think.

Re: Layin Body on 22's ---project:MT Centerfold by 1baggeds10

Well I got to see what my seats look like, the iphone camera just doesnt grab to brown well at all but here are the pics so far.

This is what they originally looked like

Here are my top door panels ready to be upholstered.

I also layed some peel n seal in the cab. Im gonna do the whole floor, door panels, roof, back wall, and pillars.

And now I installed my wireless remote brain for the door poppers and also hooked the rest of the channels to my valves. What a mess of wires, but they will be cleaned up.

All the wiring in the truck is almost done. I would really like to get a relay panel and have it really clean looking but what I really want is CARPET!!! so I can put it all together! Well let me know what you think.

Nice project man. I'm not a big fan of the speakers sticking out of the dash and doors. Everything else looks so smooth but those just look like they were dropped in. The rest looks great though. I love the exhaust. I want to see the Yota when it's done too.

Little update. installed peel n seal on the floor board and door. This stuff works really well once a heat gun is used on it.

Today I will do the back wall and the roof.

Taken at the Forbidden Fantasy Show in Perris, Ca

It was kinda embarrasing that the bumber was not the right one but I needed something to cover up the front end. Turned out to be a good show!
