Bodydropped on 20's
hey guys...
got a question...i went to Mini Nats this past weekend and noticed a few things...there was a turquoise s10 that was almost tuckin lugs on 18's as you first walked in the gate on the left...i love that truck but want to get mine with the same stance but on 20's...i saw some bodied on 20's but not even close to tucking lugs like he was...the truck was just bad ass and clean...anyone know why some of our trucks look so different when we do the same size drop and wheel combo?...20's or 22's...pics?... |

Re: Bodydropped on 20's
I have 18's with 235/45/18 tires and they are taller than some 20's with smaller tires my friends are running.
Also spindles can make a huge difference. stock spindles will give the perception of being tucked further as the rims are recessed further in the wheel well, in addition to that, the increased camber will pull the outer edge of the tire further off the ground, raising the outer edge of the rim, or Lip, higher into the fender. When I had stock spindles on my truck with 18's I noticed I seemed to tuck more rim than some trucks I saw with 20's and rubberband tires laid out. |

Re: Bodydropped on 20's
ok...i only had so much time to take some decent pics as the baby was getting rowdy being outside in the sun...i coudlnt get the size of the grey dime's wheels cuz the size was up in the fender well so i couldnt see it...the turquoise is really the one i was wanting to inquire about...now that i see his tires, they do look like they have a bigger sidewall than most running like 35's and 30's series...thanks for the better pics and i do know about camera angle, but those were the only pics i had that were decent...

Re: Bodydropped on 20's
So many factors determin if ya can tuck lungs on any wheel. Camber, the amount BD, spindles, tire size, if the cab was moved back at all, ect.
I am sure ya could tuck lugs with 20's with the right setup. |

Re: Bodydropped on 20's
idont no if s10 suspension and sheetmetal will alow you to fully tuck a lug and actualy get enough lift to clear the front wheel.

Re: Bodydropped on 20's
i was just referring to the "look"...whether it actually tucks lug is of no matter to me...i just like the look of hella tucked wheel deep in the fenders and GET LOW's is to me, a perfect example of what i want mine to look like...centered, tucked, and no too much camber...
