Re: body dropped on 22 or bigger PICS!!!!

Soo this is my truck and the Above pics are of my pile as well..

Just a few new pics with the firewall cut and the truck laying out on pavement. The tires will touch the hood skin but do not come through. Tires are 235/30/22 toyo proxy4's. Wheels are 22/8.5.

Its a sfbd/air tank frame. Changed it from a convertible back to a regular cab. I think it looks better.

The truck WAS for sale but i decided to keep it and keep workin on it till i get sick of it again lol.

sorry this is prob a newbish question, but what kind of control arms do i have to run so my wheels dont lean in so much. i was noticing your truck. what arms are u running? I was looking at this pic to. I like how straight up his wheels are. Ive got barley legal uppers and lowers on my 84 and those dudes lean perty far. not a huge fan.

Re: body dropped on 22 or bigger PICS!!!!

im running BLF flat plate uppers w the REAL PP balljoints and stock/modded lowers. i dont get much neg camber which i think is why im able to keep the wheels under the hood. i added a few shims to the uppers too since my lowers were binding a tid bit.

He took the pie cut fenders off and put stock ones on. And for the longest time they were 22.5" wheels because he didn't think there was a need to mill them down and he just forced 22" tires on them...

Re: body dropped on 22 or bigger PICS!!!!

That blazer is bad, I didn't like the dash when it was featured but it looks good in person. They should have. Cleaned up the fender where they cut it for the 22s that was the only nasty part of the truck, everything else was very detailed

Re: body dropped on 22 or bigger PICS!!!!

nobody has been able to find anything tasteful as of yet (that I know of) to fit 22s under the hood of a 1st gen when laying rockers on 22s. One guy raised the front of the hood about an inch and a half (brown Xcab) but it flattens out the angle the hood normally has and makes the front end look bulky IMO

Re: body dropped on 22 or bigger PICS!!!!

I dont see it being possible to do 22s on a rockered first gen.. Mine is stupid close on the pinch. Take that away and you lose 3/4". Dont think it would happen.. Maybe on equal length control arms? Lol, im not willing to try it.

That GetBored Red s10 is nice. I like the wheels!

That truck looks sweet, but are you sure its not 22s all around? The tire thickness looks the same front and rear and the center of the rear wheels doesn't seem to be any higher up in the body than the front wheels center. Plus I've never seen anyone fit 24s under a stepside bed when laying rocker, even with raised bedsides (which you can definitely tell it has)
