Cool because removing the heater core can take half an hour of 3 hours on some automobiles. I think it depends on if you have to remove the dash or not. Hope I don't have to find out.

I really think I should have removed the heater core too. |

I removed the heater core, the blower motor and all the hoses. I put plugs in the block so no antifreeze could come out. You have to remove the dash on old style s10s in order to get the heater core out. If anyone needs a heater core setup, I do have it. There makes a lot more room once you get that outta there. My new fiberglassed dash should take care of that!

another thing you can do with the heater core lines if i remember correctly just directly run the coolant line with an adapter from the radiator to the engine, all i noticed the heatercore was doin was just being in the way of the flow to the radiator... thats all

What did all you guys do about your steering column. I layed out my cab 2 days ago and I noticed that it was leaking from the power steering gear box. WTF did I do? If anyone has some help, please let me know.

The column is collapsible so it should be a problem unlesss you're doing like a 5" b/d. I did 3" and my column still had some slack to collapse a little more.

When i first saw those pics, i had a feeling he was running 17s. I think my truck would lay like that if I had 17s.

i'm just finishing my 5-1/2" b.d. on my 86 x-cab, laying doors almost...will be after a few passes "down" the road, if ya follow me.
lots-o cuttin' & will only fit 18's all around, that's the bummer, I could have went w/ 20's in back, but they're 1/2" too tall......& I didn't want anything poking out the top of the bed.... you can see in the gallery here or in Street source or some of the build up at www.gotrockers.com, my buddies shop where we did most of the work...... |

I'm sure I only went 3 1/4". Anyways it don't matter to me , they'll be flat with the frame soon.

im not sure exactly what you were asking but, i am going to bodydrop my bed so that i wont have any holes in it when i get my 20s to lay. and they put spacers between the bed and the frame so that in the future IF i want to bodydrop it to the body lays then i just need to remve the spacrers and it will lay down.
