another bodydrop question

ok my first question is do you have to get a elictric fan for the radiator right away or can u just run no hood and take off the fan shroud and drive with the stock engine fan or will it over heat the motor ,its a 4.3

also is their some other kind of radiator in front of the engine radiator because my radiator looks to be too fat to recess in the core support info or pics would be great thanx

Re: another bodydrop question

i ran the stock mechanical fan on my 2.2L and no shroud.... with a hood. It was alright when i was moving but it ran pretty hot and overheated on those extra hot days. I ditched it and got a basic efan setup from advance auto parts which works mint. cost me about $80 with the thermostat and 14" fan.

Re: another bodydrop question

You will be happier in the long run to just drop some extra cash on an E-fan.

Re: another bodydrop question

the other thing you are talking about is the a/c condenser. looks the same but not. totally different part. its mounted inside the core support. the radiator is mounted to the back.
