Re: 3 1/2 in. BD on 24s!!
Is there a section of the forum people can go to see what shops to go to and what shops to NOT go to? Then when someones truck gets hacked up they can post the shops name and possibly pictures so we don't end up taking our babies there! I forgot the website I think airbagginit.com maybe had a list of shops to go to. There isn't any that were listed in oregon, but it listed the nearest ones to me and helped out. Also you said you didn't pay the guy, I can see why. But did you have to give him a down payment or any money? If so is it too personal to ask how much you gave him? Just curious |

Re: 3 1/2 in. BD on 24s!!
go with 16 or 18 gauge sheetmetal. The sheetmetal on these trucks and only 20 gauge steel and anything much thicker than that will be hard to weld to the thin stock floor.
it's hard to get away from having to modify any interior panels, but if you make your cuts a couple inches away from the sidewalls like the panel where the seatbelt comes out of behind the door and the panel where the hood realease is then you should be ok. just cut a big square out of the floor 2" from the sides and straight along the front and back & raise that. |
