well you say you live in springfield Mo. i live in keokuk, Ia about 5.5 hours away. i have my own shop if you need anything else done. I do all the fab and finish work and then my dad owns a body shop so get everything done in one place. Anything and everything you want i can do it.

hey man thanks for the invite! if i didnt already have someone i would definately take it to you!! u do some badass work and that quad cab of yours is one of the sickest trucks i have ever seen!! the guy doin it now is very credible and is only about 20 min. away from me so its working out. heres what i finished up with after about 7 hours of work since thursday afternoon. oh and a couple of picks of the shop its in now and a car they're working on...

from cab and bed on, to bare frame...

go with 16 or 18 gauge sheetmetal. The sheetmetal on these trucks and only 20 gauge steel and anything much thicker than that will be hard to weld to the thin stock floor.

it's hard to get away from having to modify any interior panels, but if you make your cuts a couple inches away from the sidewalls like the panel where the seatbelt comes out of behind the door and the panel where the hood realease is then you should be ok.

just cut a big square out of the floor 2" from the sides and straight along the front and back & raise that.

this arrived at my friends shop in this condition from a previous shop, it was only driven 85 miles and you can see the bag mounts are already bent.... the notch was "notched" out more casue apprently the axle hit the notch... they tried to use all the stock hangers, yada yada... pics speak for themselves.

Re: Most Hacked Shit Ever Seen 2008 Thread!! this arrived at my friends shop in this condition from a previous shop, it was only driven 85 miles and you can see the bag mounts are already bent.... the notch was "notched" out more casue apprently the axle hit the notch... they tried to use all the stock hangers, yada yada... pics speak for themselves.
