3 1/2 in. BD on 24s!!

whats up guys, i finally got the chance to start up my bodywork and body drop on my dime! body work and body drop will be done by my friends and members of my club Lasting Impressions out of the shop I Ball Customs. ill be doing the suspension work and helping them as much as i can! it started out as a stock 2001 s-10 x-cab extreme! shortly after i bought it i bought me the o so famous boss 304s, and 3 linked it with bags and cups up front. ive been laying kit now for a bit but i thought it was time to step my game up a bit so this is what i have in store to do:

1. bodydrop 3 1/2 in and tub for 24x10s
2. bodywork
3. shave everything and put some new and different taillights in.
4. sheetmetal bed
5. redo some of the suspension

Re: 3 1/2 in. BD on 24s!!

I just dont see why... They will look ok in the back, but 24's in the front look stupid IMO and very unproportional. But regardless, try to make it look clean and good luck!

Re: 3 1/2 in. BD on 24s!!

good luck man if you think you can pull it off, go for it! BUT your venture is highly unlikely possible. listen to the guys that have done this already. they will give you the best advice you can get and it is free. spend x amount of wasted hard earned dollars on wheels that wont work sounds exspensive to me. i personally had enough issues with my 22's that i ended up selling them. even after i went through and built the truck for those wheels and even after i recieved all the great compliments i was still not happy in the end because the truck was not close to being partical to drive. also i would not put a fixed number in your head on how much you want to body drop it. i would personally get it so the rocker just barely kisses the ground. you need all the help you can get to fit those wheels. body dropping it 2.75" means you have 3/4" more room to fit those wheels. that is just my experience and i felt it would help you in your decisions. make sure to go through the build thread i made (located in my sig). i have not deleted any of the pictures i posted in hopes that it may help others in the future. once again good luck in the build i will make sure to check back again to see some progress.

hey man i really appreciate the advice ur giving me! as it stands right now, were using my friends 24x10s as mock up that way i didnt have to buy some right off the back for the simple fact that it has a chance of not working and me not putting 24s on! hence no money spent on wheels!lol as for the bd, were now doing a 3 in bd for clearance issues. well see what we can come up with. hopefully it turns out the way i expect it to. if not, so be it! were doing everything we can to make it work!

Re: 3 1/2 in. BD on 24s!!

you should of angled the filler plates so you could fit the stock carpet back in. do you have enough clearance for the door panels?
