Gotta be careful with file sizes though because 19.531KB on your machine isn't 19.531KB on disk. Always best to save slightly below the limit so you're covered. For example, stevehh's sig is 18.26KB on my machine. On disk it's 19.24KB.

Why does photoshop do that though?

like i set the sigs to the limit size like mine 550x150 and i ended up lowering it to like 490x135
