Facelift for the Beast
Old:
LS1 2k w/ an LS1, m6, and a turbo... ![]() I'm not into fancy body kits, but a killer hood, and some paint can really bring somethin out... I really like this hood though. What do you all think? PHOTOSHOP! ![]() |

Re: Facelift for the Beast
moved to photoshopping section...
looks good, just needs debadging, lose the dumbo stock mirrors, color matched and smoothed door handles, and just keep the stock headlights, with regular clear corners, and a billet bowtie, and it'll be a sweet looking ride. |

Re: Facelift for the Beast
love it. i agree with sdime98 though; change/color match the mirrors and the door handles. maybe even drop it a couple more inches with a smaller tire. and you'll have one sick ride

Re: Facelift for the Beast
Why was this moved? I wanted it in the BODY / EXTERIOR section to get EXTERIOR opinions, NOT TO BE JUDGED ON MY PHOTOSHOP GUY!!!!!!! WTF?!
I wanted to know where s10 guys get these hoods.... i'm not going to get any real opinions in this section..... PLEASE MOVE IT BACK!!!!!!!! This is not a photoshop judgement.... this is an EXTERIOR request for information. |

Re: Facelift for the Beast
uh. no.
the paint/exterior section is for technical questions, etc... not "hey, here goes a pic!!!1! what ya'll think?..." and as far as it looks to me so far in here, you've gotten my real opinion, not to mention those of the others.... doesn't look like anyone is critiquing your photoshop skills so far.oh, and the hood in question, is a cervini's ss hood. it is made of fiberglass. https://www.cervinis.com/product.aspx?car=1&id=1133#139 it's steel counterpart, is the goodmark ram air hood. it is not functional ram air, although you can mod it. to have an opened front end, it is however, a functional cowl hood. you can buy these thru alot of mail-order type companies, your summit's, stylin' trucks, and so on, you may occasionally come across a retailer for them at swap meets, car shows, crap like that. |

Re: Facelift for the Beast
looks awesome, doo it!!
dunno about the hood, S10 hood, sonoma hood, cowl or that one would be fine.. but the bumper, valence and lights make it look 1000000 times better! |

Re: Facelift for the Beast
you could just cut it out and leave it and it would at the least allow extra air into the engine bay ..
or you could cut it out and make some kinda of snorkle/ piping to your airbox and then it would be functional |

Re: Facelift for the Beast
i cut the front of mine, and mounted billet in the hole...but i'm sure you could make a bonnet of sorts, maybe weld in a section of sheet metal, or aluminum. to close off the raised section of the hood, and then channel it down to the throttle body, maybe angle the functional ram air section off, so it's seperate from the rear, so you could still have the cowl section functional, for heat escape.

Re: Facelift for the Beast
I like that but it wouldn't look right on mine without a billet grill. When I finally scrape up enough $$ to get it painted I might put a billet grill. Thanks for the tip though. It looks good on yours.
