ZQ8 rims won't fit my 94 properly?

I have a 94 S-10 in which has been sitting at least 6 years. I have decided to finish customizing it and am knee deep into the build from the ground up. The problem I have is that I have a set of 16 inch ZQ8 wheels that I had donated to me on the truck. Now I was young and dumb when I put these wheels on and they didn't fit perfect for some reason(they came off a 98+) so I used a board and a sledge to get them on and they are SNUG to say the least. The truck needs new brakes and I am going to redo all the brake work but I am going to have a hell of a time getting these rims off. Any suggestions on how to get them off other than beating(and possibly damaging them)? THey are in immaculate shape. I am also wondering why they don't fit right, shouldn't all the gen 2's be the same? Even my frankenstein year? Should I try and trade for some other stock rims? I would hate to get rid of these or have to go back to my ugly stock 15 rims(the 98+ stock ones are better)since I would have to buy 4 new tires and the 16 inch tires are almost brand new. What is preventing these rims from just sliding on? ANy help would be appreciated thanks!

Re: ZQ8 rims won't fit my 94 properly?

i actually used a hole saw with aluminum lube and cleaned up edges with an air file. Looks really nice and fixed them. 3 came off easy and i got them off with a mini sledge and a 2x4 one rear one game me a problem so I had to have my neighbor hold the board and hit it off with a 10 lb sledge. jacked up the corner I was hitting so yours should come off easy especially if you have access to a lift i just had to lay on the ground and do it, oh well. I'll post some pics tomorrow.
