will 4wd rims work on a 2wd truck?

i just bought a 97 4 door blazer 2wd and it has gmc sonoma steel weels on it. I want to put a set of aluminum wheels off of a 95 blazer 4wd on it. both are 15" wheels. Will they work?

They should work but I don't know from experience. Measure the backspacing to check but it should be near identical. Just measure from the mounting surface to the back of the rim and that should tell you whether it will work or not. It should be within an inch either way.

i dont know if they will physically fit, but even if they did, they woud stick way inside the fenders because they have too high of a backspacing. 4wd s-series axels are wider than the 2wd.

even if they bolted on, i wouldent expect to be able to turn lock to lock without scraping your control arms.

if you ran a set of 2" spacers front and rear... then yes the wheels would fit. OTher then that, no they will not work just by bolting them on, the factory backspacing is way off between 2wd and 4wd
