What drilled/slotted rotors to get????

What brands of rotors are you guys buying. I want to get drilled/slotted rotors for my truck since im getting new wheels and i dont want the brakes to look at nasty and rusty behind them. Any suggestions or opinions on any companys?

i got mine from brakeworld.com, but you can get the ones off ebay. theyre all pretty much the same. mine seem to have more drills/slots however.

also painted the "hub" part flat black, along with the vents on the top. then silver calipers.

funny thing about that is, neither do i. i do plan on getting dropped blazer spindles, new rotors that fit um, with the two piston calipers, and the rear brakes off it too. with a hdyroboost. then ill be able to stop on a dime, so i hope.

the blazer brake rotor is only 10.75", but the pad surface area is 30% more so it will help stop a lot better..but i would stick with solid rotors...the drilled and slotted rotors are bad. you are just providing less surface area of contact for the pad and if you dont get a $10.00 pad you wont have the "infamous" gassing issue that everyone preaches about...good pads dont require the marketing gimic...real people that race have solid rotors

When i had my s10 with drilled and slotted, i loved them...They seemed to be higher quality and with a good pad, stopped very well..

I got a set of drilled and slotted rotors off Ebay and there awesome i love em. Would definatly buy again.

got mine from summit, price was awesome and love the looks and better brake pedal feel.

I would stay away from the drilled ones for street use, they tend to create stress cracks over time.

i got the ones from EBC and the greenstuff pads. look and work great.

I've had Powerslot rotors, stock calipers and Hawk pads and the damn FSC stops VERY good. Light years ahead of stock. I couldnt imagine if I had rear disc conversion and larger rotors/multiple piston calipers up front. That'd be schhhwing!

the drilled rotors will crack if you use your brakes hard and a lot..any porshe that has seen a track day will have cracks

granted on an s10 99% of the people wont ever use the brakes enough to do anything, but you are still giving yourself less surface area so if you go with the drilled and or slotted rotors you are doing a disservice if you want better braking, but if it is just for looks go ahead they will be fine

I got mine from summit and just mounted em up last week... i still havent driven on them yet but i also got hawk pads so im hoping it will be real nice.

Never had any problems with slotted ones but with the drilled ones I did on street. The cooling and heating on them cause the cracks unlike on track were they get heated and stay hot until the race is over then most are trashed anyways. The hole creates a spot for it to crack where the slots still have metal attaching and no air going through making a large temp difference. The cracks won't be visible to the naked eye is the reason why you guys can't just look and see them but you might be surprised that you do have them.

So a daily driver in a Blazer with drilled and slotted brakes won't crack and will last a long time? I need to do the brakes in my wifes truck, it's been a long time since I've done them.
