this is my first thread in this section...

my brakes got all squishy this morning after a panic stop and i was like hrm what is the deal??

and i think i found the problem...











maybe the rusted brake line is the issue...maybe

awww shit. that happened to me in my previous 2.2L vehicle, a 1990 cavalier. i bought the car for only 400$, whole thing was rust.

Well Brian, you're heading in the right direction to get away from that rust. Another state south and I'd say you're completely there.

yeah well im sure that spot on the frame being covered in mud was not a adding factor..lol

I found out my rear lines were rusted when i was going down a hill out of my neighborhood and hit the brakes and nothing....i had maybe, no lie, maybe 2 inches worth of braking from the pedal. It was practically on the floorboard when it started to work, lol. Thank god for the good ole downshift...lol

jersey and the first owners were in PA so that did not help...plus it was the only area where i could not wash since there is a plastic guard there and the mud built up all over the lines..so that did not help out
