rubbing

i just got my 22" rims on my 2001 2DR 2WD blazer. when i turn my wheel all the way, the tires rub in the back of the wheel well. is there anything i can do to fix that or can i just not turn sharply?? will it get worse if i drop it? or will it actually help it out?

thanks
steven

Re: rubbing

If they're rubbing now you think they won't be rubbing any worse with a 3" drop up front or like you said a 6" drop?

You have the wrong size tire and/or BS. Sell them and get some 20's then drop it 4/5 or 5/6

Re: rubbing

alright, they are 22" boss 304 with 355/30 tires and they are 9.5 inches wide. i was originally only wanting to do a 3/4 drop, but now im thinking a 5/6 drop. is it going to be possible with 22's?

also, i found out that it doesnt only rub on the back of the wheel well. it also rubs on the both sides of the chasis frame. so when i turn left all the way, it rubs in the front, and when i turn right it rubs in the back.

PLEASE HELP!
thanks
steven

Re: rubbing

o yea, i went and talked with the place that im going to get it lowered from today, and he said that it wont necessarily rub any more when its lowered. he has only dropped a blazer on 8.5 inch, 20" rims. so he has no experience with dropping it this much with this sized rims!

thanks
steven

Re: rubbing

you sure its a "355/30/22" ???? and not a 255/30/22? makes a big difference in width and height.
with 9.5" wide wheels its going to rub the frame when turning. nothing your going to be able to do about that at all.
i don't see doing a 5/6 drop with those tires on a stock blazer. 3/4 is going to be pushing it imo.
