Re: Q for Someone with Boss 338
Found another problem. The tangs on the center cap hit as well so if these are trimmed down you can run a 1/4" spacer.

Re: Q for Someone with Boss 338
I am also had a question about these wheels so I'll add it here. I have a 00 Sonoma and was looking to put these wheels on. Will the 20' fit properly? and how much tire? As I dont want to put on to thin of a tire. I was thinking about going with the 18x8 in the front and the 18x9.5 in the rear, will the 9.5 fit in the rear without modification? (01blackxtreme i believe this is what your running) Anyway I'm just confused as to what I need to look into to see what will work, any help would be appreciated.

Re: Q for Someone with Boss 338
Yeah theyll fit without modifacation, depending on what size drop you have your fender lip thing on your bed will rub into your tire, just take the bed off and beat it with a hammer and your good. lol Ive got a 5/6 drop btw, about to be 5/7
But I love the wheels, I get so many compliments. |

Re: Q for Someone with Boss 338
I'm only dropped 3.5/4.5! So is there anything I would have to do in order to make em fit besides the 1/4" spacer in the front? |

Re: Q for Someone with Boss 338
Thanks, my suspension is still at the stock height so I should be fine for now? I do plan on dropping it a bit so that helps to know. Was I correct on your sizing? Anyone here have the 20'?

Yeah you were right.
No modifaction needed, but then again, all trucks are different. |

Re: Q for Someone with Boss 338
If you run the 20x 10 you will probably need spacers for those with a 6.225 bs. I would say go with the 20x8.5 with the 5.239 bs and you won`t need spacers for the back. you will probably need spacers for the front regardless of what you go with since the center caps pop out. I am going with a 5/16 or 1/4 spacer for the front and I shaved down the holding tangs on the center cap and now they fit.

Re: Q for Someone with Boss 338
another option although expensive is to run a 2wd 98+ blazer front spindle hub setup..the drop spindles are twice that of the s10s, but you also get dual piston calipers and the brakes are also hat and rotor instead of everything in one, so brake job is less work

Re: Q for Someone with Boss 338
Well got my 5/16" spacer and longer studs. Worked good. Still had to massage the grease cap after cutting down the tangs a bit. I finally received my rear wheels and got them put on today. I didn't even get the center caps, there must be a shortage or they just didn't get put in the box.

Re: Q for Someone with Boss 338
Will the 18/20 combo fit on a first Gen? I really want a wide tire in the back. 20x9.5 out back 18 x whatever wont rub in the front? Would I still need a spacer or have grease cap issues?

it looks so weird because the tire is so small. seems like he is riding on rim. it almost looks like there is a bit of stretch too.
