Re: New Updated Rim/Tire Fitment For S Trucks
Hey Norcal,
I have a chance to pick up a set of 18x8.5's for front, 20x8.5 rear, both +15mm - my truck is bagged and laying frame, 99 ext cab, and i dont want to cut under the hood yet - if i get them, ill probably run 235/35/18 and 245/35/20 - im sure on the 20's, but will the 18's fit, and will the tires work? Re: New Updated Rim/Tire Fitment For S Trucks
i have a chance to get 17x8.5" rims (he says they're closer to 9" but hes not 100% sure) and the offset is 5 1/2" and they have 215/45-15 proxies (way too skinny for those rims) but they're brand new so yeah, lol..any clue on what size adapter i would need? he's agreed to let me test fit them before i buy them also

Re: New Updated Rim/Tire Fitment For S Trucks
So if I have a 20x8.5 with a 245/30 which is only 25.8 inches and I'm bagged in the rear with a 2.5 c-notch then I won't have to cut or tub my bed at all cuz you said anything over 26.5 inches will have problems, Right?

Re: New Updated Rim/Tire Fitment For S Trucks
I have a 97 S-10, I bought some american racing wheels of a 97 monte that are 16x 8 with about 6" of backspacing. Can I make these work on my S-10. I also bought a set of 96 formula 5spoke wheels that seem to need about an inch or inch and a half spacer. What will work with either of these wheels. Whats my cheapest route? I realize i need 4.5 bs. I like the american wheels better but if the formula wheels would be cheaper I'd go that route. Does anyone have spacers for sale or adapters? PLEASE HELP. thanks, Curt

Re: New Updated Rim/Tire Fitment For S Trucks
I got an 01' S-10. I wanna do a 3/4 on it and run 22's, is this possible? Would I have to remove the fender wells? What size tire would I have to run and what back spacing? Would I have to cut the lips on the fenders? Thanks.

TIS 01's
So I love these wheels but I'm not positive I'm completely following. These wheels come in 20 x 8.5's with either an 18mm offset with 5 7/16ths backspacing or 30mm offset with a 5 15/16ths backspacing. And the 22's that could possibly fit on the back are 9.5 wide with an 18mm offset and 5 15/16ths backspacing. Could those 22's tuck on the back? If not, which of the 20's? And are either of those 20's tuckable on the front? What size tires would you suggest? Thanks a bunch.

Re: New Updated Rim/Tire Fitment For S Trucks
I have a 98 blazer and plan on dropping it 4/5 on stock wheels. So I need to run 235/70/15's up front and it won't rub correct? What size should I run out back so the tire/fender well gap will be minimal and the blazer will still be sitting even, or will I need to go down to 6" out back to achieve what I want? What about dragging the back of the frame with a drop like this? This is an awesome thread btw

Re: New Updated Rim/Tire Fitment For S Trucks
I have a 2001 S-10 Ext. Cab with 2in Spindles and 1in Springs in the front and 3in leafs in the rear. Would 18x8.5" 245/40-18 front and 19x10" 285/35-19 rear work?

Will 15x8 inch wheels with 235x60 tires fit on the front with a 4inch drop? if not can i use a small spacer to clear? and i don't know the back spacing either 3.75 or 4 i am not sure yet i will have to measure. |

Re: New Updated Rim/Tire Fitment For S Trucks
ok, a buddy of mine that works at a tire shop can get me a really good deal on 20x8.5" & 20x10" both with 15mm offset..i know the will will fit with no problem, but my question is about tires, we have 255/35/20 Sumitomo HTRZ II tires laying around and theire website specs say rim widths from 8.5"-10" but would you recomend that as safe on the back? i checked prices on 265's and they're too expensive for my budget right now(but i will get them in the future). would you think they would be safe untill i can get 265/35's for the back? i dont drive like a mad man(if that helps)..any help would be appreciated

Re: New Updated Rim/Tire Fitment For S Trucks
if you run 235 70 15 you will be fine with a 4/5 drop. Honestly i would do a 255 60 15 front and a 275 60 15 rear |

Re: New Updated Rim/Tire Fitment For S Trucks
How about 22 inch wheel width and backspacing/offset -- I've seen a lot of 22 inch wheels with 15 mm backspacing in either a 9 or 9.5 inch width wheel.... can anyone with experience shed some light on this one? I've ran 20's for years, and it's time to upgrade, since I am redoing the set-up completely in a few months. Thanks!
