What size tire do i get for a 3/4 drop on 16x8 extreme rim? It says it for the front but not the back...

yeah, i have the same question.

for me, it'll be for a 1st gen. i have a set of 15's with 215's on, and it's already a tight fit. what tire size would anyone suggest? i'd be too afraid to try the 235/55/16's, for fear they would be too big.

oh, and i'm pretty well certain that stepside is not a factor.

15X5 RALLYS 165 15 front
15x8 rallys rear 295 50 15 or 15x10 rallys 5.5 bs 295 50 15 will look tough.

You can also do 15x7 4 inch bs 225 65 15 and rear 15x8 4.5 bs 275 60 15

what about a 235/55/17 for a 4" drop in front, its a 2.2 so itll prolly only be like a 3.5" drop but will there be any rubbing?

Re: New Updated Rim/Tire Fitment For S Trucks

im looking at using 17X9 corvette wheels with 275/40/17's on my 88 2WD. im wondering if theyll fit, and what spacer to use. the truck is dropped 2/3 with springs, and has the tall ball joint conversion, which pit thefront down another 1/2 inch, and made the spidle rougly 1 1/2 taller overall from top to bottom of th control arms.

what do you think?

Re: New Updated Rim/Tire Fitment For S Trucks

I have just bought a 97 s10 and I am in dire need of tires and wheels. My OEM ones have been dented and are bubbling the tire that is on them... So.. Since money is tight and I bumped into a deal, I was wondering what problems I could expect with putting on 18x9.5's on a bone stock ext cab 97 stepside ls. I am told (by the sellerof the vehicle) that the suspension and everything else for that matter, aside from the manual transmission, are all parts from the SS package. He says camaro suspension, but i have no idea. Either way, aside from the actual fit, if I would end up ruining my clutch or trans with the added size of the wheel. I am potentially buying the wheels wrapped in Ultra High Performance Sumitomo HTR-Z II's 275/40 18's with spacers 4 $600. The seller is taking them off of a modified (couldn't tell you what mods) 01 blazer x. He says he has no wheel rub and I realize that alot has been changed between 97 and 01...
Any help you guys could give me would be great. thanks

I've got a 95 s10 with a 2/3 drop, spindles in front and beel leafs in rear. I'm plannning on getting the 18"x9.5" zo6 rims. From what i've read i'll need 2.25" spacers in front but in the rear i'm going to be installing a 8.8" rearend from a 2000 explorer which is suposed to be 5.5"-6" longer. if i redrill to chevy bolt pattern will those rims clear fenders or will i need to shorten the diff?

Re: New Updated Rim/Tire Fitment For S Trucks

ok so im going to be going to 20s this winter, because i had problems with my 18s rubbing once i put them back on after i put my djm drop spindles on, i had some rub issues on the inner side of the rim

anyways, my question is, what width and backspacing should i go with to have the least amount of rubbing when i turn and so on with 20" wheels, the truck is a 2001 stepside s10 and im fully bagged

any help would be good
thanks

Re: New Updated Rim/Tire Fitment For S Trucks

I m got a question about 22 inch tires. I m going to have 20 22 inch combo on my 88 what would be a good tire mock up since i dont have the rims yet. I have the 14 inch stockers on right now. I have the sd three link about to be installed and the step notch to lay out on 22s. If that matters. Any help would be nice.
