New Updated Rim/Tire Fitment For S Trucks

A new story entry has been added:

New Updated Rim/Tire Fitment For S Trucks

Quote:
This chart is made from the experiences I have with the trucks I lowered and put tires on and that still look good not to much wheel well space. Also tire sizes are what I and customers thought looked best on the rims. Not all people might agree on this but most of those who I have helped will agree this chart is fine.

CHART IS FOR S10S/SONOMAS BLAZERS 2WD ONLY HERE

i wanna put 20's on my s10 (2000 X w/ belltech 2/3drop) and was wondering if i could just put the rims on with no problems with a 4.75 bs with 245/35/20 tires. I don't know too much about this so any helpful info would be appreciated. Thanx Brian.

How tall is the suggested 20" wheel/tire combo for front and rear?

Im going to be bagging my blazer soon and Im doing prework on the front and rear so I can lay and tuck 20s...prework meaning, front fenderwell removal, blowermotor housing sectioning, tubbing the firewall a tad, etc.

I wont be getting my 20"s for a while, so I will be running stocks. My stock rim/tire is about 25" tall. Not sure on the exact ***/** numbers, but I can get them if needed.

I was wondering the height of the 20" wheel/tire so I can get an idea of just how much I need to move things. I have a stock tire on my spare that is 28" tall. Wonder if I can let some air out of it till it sits as high as the 20" you suggest?

245 35 20 is 26.7
255 35 20 is 27

stock blazer tires are 28 inches tall
stock blazer x tires are 27 inches tall

I meant to say above that the stock rim is on a lo-pro tire, like 215/65 or something

but thanks though.

so, that is the height of the suggested 20" wheel/tire combo? which would be the better one the 255 or 245? Can I go smaller? just curious

edit. also i have the chance to get 225/40 tires for them for 150 bucks. the height is 25.1 and the fenders are 24.5 if i cut into the fenders to allow them to come up more would i be good for the width of the tire? meaning can i completley tuck it inside the wheel well if i cut the fender to allow height clearance. thanks

what would you suggest for 18 x 7's all around.. with.. spindles and 1 inch springs up front and 4 inch drop in the back
scratch that and replace the size with 18 X 7.5's all the way around.

one question i have is, can u lay out on 20s with the wheel wells cut out, with a run of the mill bag setup? or do you have to do anything special with the front suspension so it will lay frame? thanks in advance.

what is the formula again to determine the "height" of your tire.
205 65 15 ....205mm 65% of 15"..????

it's best to have 7 up front, in back it doesn't matter as much as long as the backspacing is right. 7.5 will be better than 8, but 7 is best for clearence.

N2O, I want to lay frame when I bag my truck, I plan to get rid of the fender well. I will be running 18x8 w/235 40's for daily driving. My ? is if I get 19's, or 20's in the front is there a tire I can get that I can lay frame, and not have to tub the firewall? The 19's or 20's wouldn't be for daily driving, so it doesn't matter if the tires were too small to protect the rim. Thanks for your help in advance

You will have to tub the firewall, remove inner fender wells, relocate some stuff to the bed, smaller brake booster, and that jsut about gets you to the ground

20s on stock X

Will 20s clear on my 2003 stock Extreme suspension? I won't be able to bag until further down the road. I'm gonna run 245/40s on a 20 x 8 wheel. I'm curious if it will bottom out when I hit a good dip and if I turn the wheel all the way will it rub.

my s-10 is 1988 and is set up to layout on 20's all the way around.
the wheels I ordered are 20x8 with a +50 offset, they should fit ok with a normal size adaptor, right?
becasue a guy a now said that 20x8.5 with a +45 offset was tight and he evan shortened his control arms 1/2". also another guy with a new style s-10 has 19x7.5 with +48 offset up front and a 1.3 offset. so the 20x8 with +50 should work ok, with probably like a 1.5in. adaptor or so.

there is a tread by Avtek, I believe, thats shows the work needed to lay frame, w/o a body drop, on 20's. There is also a tread by got20's that shows the work needed to lay body on 20's. Right now I'm tired, next time I check this tread I'll search for them and post them if someone else hasn't.
