Re: new tires and they rub
lol, my truck rubbed the shit out of my inner fenders, I think it was close to making a hole. Take the top bolt out inside the inner fender, it will **** up the tire. As long as its not bad, just watch for bumps, dips, etc, and you'll be fine. Did you tell the guy 205/75's to begin with?

Re: new tires and they rub
The tire he gave you is wider is why it rubs your fenders... as far as being taller they shouldnt be as they are basically the same height.
Compare the two on this tire size calculator and you will see... http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCalculator.asp |

but seriously, there's nothing you can do besides change back, or live with it. little rub never hurt no body. |

Re: new tires and they rub
Bend up the fender lips, it's not a big deal unless it's really rubbing a lot.
Here's a formula to figure tire height: Example: 225/70/15 225x70=15750 15750/2540=6.2 (height of one sidewall) 6.2x2=12.4 12.4+15(size of your wheel)=27.4" tall 27.4/2=13.7" (distance from center of wheel to top of tire) Anyway you can use this in the future to make sure you don't get a tire too tall, I know yours are too wide, but this will help you later on down the road. |
