Re: laying frame with drag radials

nevermind they are not gonna fit i guess i will have to go with a 26x8 or 8.5 inch tire how would those hook up on the track?

Re: laying frame with drag radials

most tracks wont let you run because of the air, and you have a notch too. depends on the track i guess.

Re: laying frame with drag radials

really i didnt know that. thats sucks its an 1/8 mile track in mississippi hopefully they will. if not ill just race it on the streets lol i think the truck would look so mean layin frame with some fat ass tires maybe one day ill narrow the frame and narrow a ford 9 inch to tuck some really wide tires

Re: laying frame with drag radials

its not always the air suspension. They dont want a vehicle having a way to contact the track surface. If you set it up to where you can have a bump stop bolt in and keep the frame off the ground a tech will most probably pass it. This way if anything happens the truck will air down and hit the bump stops on all 4 corners and keep the frame off the track

Re: laying frame with drag radials

my truck doesnt lay in the front yet so i wont have to worry about the front and i could easily set something up for the back. i cant wait to have it running and my motor built and all.when i rebuild it i want it bored .30 over with a 400 crank to make a 383 when its done i should be getting some real power.

Re: laying frame with drag radials

well i think its under 13's you need a helmet, and most people that dont go to the track too often dont have a helmet just layin around. and the faster you go, the chances are higher to make a mistake. its basically a safety thing.

well if you are running 16's im sure they are not worried about you going down the track sideways and flipping end over end and you pose no threat to them

now if you are running 10's they are going to inspect your shit for safety
