Arrow IROC Z Wheels

Alright, from what i have read in the past in here, which was like 2 years ago (last time i was in the forum). Some of you guys rock the iroc z wheels on your s-10's. Some of you have a full set of all rears on your trucks, how did you go about putting them on the front with out running into any problem of rubbing? I just noticed today when i was going to finally switch out my "front" irocs with rears so i could have the same offset all around. So as simple as possible how can you run "rear" irocs on the front?

Thank you much.

Re: IROC Z Wheels

I have a 1st gen Jimmy and run staggered offset Camaro rims, RS not IROC, and I run rears up front and fronts out back. I have no problem with rubbing, but I am 4/6 static, and the tires are 245/50-16 all around. I will let you know how well they tuck in a week or two, front will be bagged.

Re: IROC Z Wheels

245 40 20/275 40 20 dropped 5/6 on my blazer 20x8/20x9 irocs

your 2wd s10 dropped 2/3 would look like my blazers drop. I just wanted a nice sidewall.

now if you did 245 35 20 and 285 30 20 you can do a 3/4 drop and still be ok

Re: IROC Z Wheels

Im talking about the original iroc z wheels not the after market ones 16x8.5 i think they are. The offset is different between the front two and the rear two. The after market knock offs dont do it for me.

Re: IROC Z Wheels

the third gen 16" wheels have 4.5 backspace on the fronts and 5 1/8" backspace on the rear. I run 4 fronts. when I tryed to put the old rears on the front they hit the tie rod end. a regular set of irocs works fine but the rear sits in 5/8" more. thats why guys get 4 fronts so it looks even.

edit: they are 16x8 and the rears are labeled

Re: IROC Z Wheels

I read a while back that some people put "rears" all around instead of "fronts".

Re: IROC Z Wheels

Mine are 16X8, front are 4.5 and rears are 5 1/8 back spacing, but I run back up front and front out back. There is no rubbing with the old 235/60-16 or with the new 245/50-16 on there now.

These are rears up front, 235/60-16

I have 245/50-16 on there now and it is 2" lower, no problems so far.

thats so weird everywone ive talked too with any 16" third gen wheels. you cant put the backs on the fronts. I tried it with mine and it would hit the tie rod end before bolting down I ended up getting another set of fronts

Re: IROC Z Wheels

The only problem I had was the hub bore is a hair smaller than the hub on the front. All I had to do was clean it up a little with some sandpaper. I don't know if that is normal or not, other than that they fit no problem. They are marked inside the center cap "front" and "rear" so I know they are the rears. I get full lock to lock, no rubbing. The only thing I have changed is 2" drop spindles, 2" drop springs, drop shocks, and shorter sway bar end links (from the 90 Camaro the wheels came off of) because mine were shot and I had those new ones sitting around.

Re: IROC Z Wheels

That is weird because my rears wont go upfront they hit the rod, so i guess i do have to go with all fronts all around or just go normal with fronts on the front and rears on the rear. I am 100% sure though that people have put rears all around, might have been a 1st gen s-10 or something i don't know. Im baffled.

Re: IROC Z Wheels

Mine fit my 83 Blazer. I don't think my rears fit the front but the fronts fit the front and the rears fit the rears... For those who care.

Heres a pic of my style. (Don't have any pics of them on my blazer yet - for proof)
But they fit fine onto the lugs and such.

Just a pair.

Heres all 4.

This is right after I had painted them too.

They don't rub but I havn't dropped my blazer yet either
