Re: For those that dont understand backspacing and offset

ok well i am just like anyone else who has posted asking if this fits and here it goes...

i got a set of ADR 18"s front are 8.5" wide with 15 offset,...the rears are 9.5 wide with the same 15 offset....

i did a dry fit and cam up with some interesting measurments,

the fronts will rub a little cause i had the truck in the air and did a full left to right test, i am sure i will rub a little on the sway bar and upper a arm if i turn the wheel just about to its max.....

the rear dry fit leaves the rim about 3/4" away from the leafspring. and i am going to have to relocate the ebrake line a little, depending on what information i can gather from a couple of posts.

should i space them out 5/16? or more? now i dont want them to stick out past the fender wells though either i need to find a happy medium i guess....

thoughts?

Re: For those that dont understand backspacing and offset

im a little confused on this backspace/offset. Im looking to get some 18 inch wheels with these specs:
18x8.5" with a 5x4.75 bolt pattern +18mm offset and 5.5" backspacing

I have a 5/6 drop on my truck and id be using 245/40/18 tires. Would this setup be ok? Any help would be appreciated . thanks

Re: For those that dont understand backspacing and offset

So when the chart on the first page says:
7" --- 0 - 4mm
8" --- 4 - 10mm
8.5" --- 5 - 15mm

Does that mean for example on the rims that are 8inchs wide +4 throw +10 ??

Re: For those that dont understand backspacing and offset

whats the deal with fwd offset?
The specs are 22" rims-
Fitment: 5lug FWD offset (5x120/5x114.3+35m)

would these work for my first gen? Turning problems? Will they stick out, do i need spacers?

DISCLAIMER: (3.5" lip on 22x7.5/22X8 and 6"+ lip on 22x9.5 and 24x10)

Thank you!

Re: For those that dont understand backspacing and offset

So a 19X12with a offset of 59mm would have a bs of 8.11"
which would require a 2.61" spacer?
