Cragar Soft 8's

A little advice please....I am sold on the Soft 8's for my '91 Sonoma (2WD). Can anyone please chime in on the recommended specific model number for a 16x8?

TIA!

Re: Cragar Soft 8's

They have them at Summits website. Just type in Cragar Soft 8's in the search bar and find what you need.

Re: Cragar Soft 8's

They are good, cheap rims. I had 16x9 on my 79 blazer, they held up in some "extreme" conditions (rock crawling, mudding, etc)

Yeah no doubt. You have to spend extra if you want those. They're like, $12 per.

Prymer, I love the way those look on your truck.

Re: Cragar Soft 8's

It was pRymer's truck that made me really take notice of the Soft 8's. Now after seeing these other trucks with them, I now am convinced and need to pick up a set. I've seen them on ex-police Crown Vics with a Ranger center cap...very versatile rim.

yeah i first started taking a liking to them after seeing them on his truck also. i like the fact that they aren't super flashy but still have some style to them. also you cant beat the price.

Re: Cragar Soft 8's

my friend has them on his lifted ford ranger, 8" lift on 33's 15x8 and they look nice.

not sure how they would look on my truck, but the 17x8 would look good, not sure if i want them, or polished billets the pricetag of cragar's make me happy

My buddies blazer with 17" soft 8s.

Wish they came in 18's. Id certainly have a set for track tires. especially for the price.

-do you know what size tire he has on there?

Re: Cragar Soft 8's

i think Dr prymer has met set on a set of 17x8's.

drprymer, what size tires do you have? 225/40/17, 225/45/17 for the front?

255/40/17 for the rear? and 5x4.75 lugsize with 4.5BS?

ive always wanted these rims, nice and cheap, $60 a rim is a steal

Re: Cragar Soft 8's

i think i might try to get them powdercoated gunmetal grey/graphite colored though, so that it pops off the tire better and matches my truck a little more.

Yeah, I'd also like to see some close-ups of prymer's truck. The Soft 8s are killer on his truck.

Do you have the blank chrome center caps or the ones with blue cragar lettering?

I run them for my winter wheel setup. I get more compliments on them then on my wide low profile summer setup.

What size rims and what size tires are you running? I'm definitely going with the Soft 8's, but I'm trying to decide on what size to go with. I just bought new tires for my Xtreme wheels so if I go with 16s I can just swap rims. I don't want the 16s to look too small though.
