[quote=drmrman;5847208]More pics pls. That truck is gorgeous.

I have...
17x9.5 all around. 275/40/17 rubber
2.75 spacers in the front (rolled fender. No rubbing.)
2.50 spacers in the rear.

Pics.

Whoa. I saw a guy in an s10 at home depot running this same set up. I love it, goes well with an S10. Are those C5? What size options are there? 17x9.5 all around sounds great, and from what i understand I won't need spacers. Could i run 305/50/17 on these?

yes they are C4's like FouR_ThreE_Xtreme said. if your truck is a 2wd you will need spacers. does a 305/50/17 even exist? if so it would be pretty big for a 9.5 wheel, youd probably want a 10.5.

You are completely correct, that wheel size is nonexistent. I'll have to run 275/55/17. My truck is a 4x4 so from what I read I won't need spacers but what if I up the overall height of the tires? Is there an adjustment to be made in order for the speedo to work correctly?

Any ideas about tire sizes? 235/45/17 on front and 275/40/18 on back is OE suggestion, and it sounds like theyll work pretty well. imput?

Id put at least a 245 up front, I think 235 will look a lil streched out on a 8.5in wheel.

Re: Corvette Rims Thread

I have a set (4) 2" spacers and (2) 2.5" spacers if any one is interested in doing a corvette rim swap!

Both sets have less then 200 miles on them and 2 of the 2" spacers were never even mounted on the truck!

PM for more details

Re: Corvette Rims Thread

I just bought a set of the wheels like the picture below. They are 95 corvette 17x8.5 and 17x9.5. The truck they will be going on has 2" spindles and 3" springs on front and ZQ8 leaves and 4" blocks. Will 2" spacers work on front or do I need 2.25? I have been told that I need 2.5" spacers for the rear. Another question, according to the tire size sticky, I will have to run 225/45/17 on front, but will 255/45/17 work on the rear?

Here is a smple pic of the wheels, not the actual wheels:

Re: Corvette Rims Thread

I had 9.5 wide saw blades on my truck with 2.75 front spacing to clear the tie rod... But since you are running the 8.5 I dont think you will need that extra 3/4 of an inch... I think the 2" spacers should be fine... And NO you dont need 2.5 spacers in the rear... In my (above) pics Ive got the 9.5 rim with a 275 tire on a 2" spacer...

Let me know if you want the spacers

Re: Corvette Rims Thread

You guys dont think 2.5" spacers on the front will make them stick out too far do you? Im not planning on lowering it any more and dont need to worry about tuckin them but i dont want them stickin out too far from the fender

Re: Corvette Rims Thread

I would just do 2.25 in the front. Then 2.5 in the back since the drop spindles push the front wheels out a lil. You can sorta see the uneveness in the pics I posted.

You need at least 2.25 to clear the drop spindles.

Yea i know but if i can get this set of used 2.5"s for cheap then im gonna buy em. I dont think that extra 1/4" is gonna make them poke out too far.

the speedometer can be calibrated for larger/smaller tires. a hypertech programmer can do it, as can other tuning programs. i would assume a tech2 at a dealership could do it also.

Re: Corvette Rims Thread

I got a set of the sawblade rims & making a quick measurment last night I believe they are 17X10.5. My trucked is bagged & has drop spindles. I don't think they will tuck but I was gonna ask yall first. I don't want to spend the money for the adapters & they not tuck. Any help would be great.
