Re: Corvette Rims Thread

Those are definitely aftermarket rims, so they could be made for a freakin Honda with no problems! They look good on your truck, though! They're not true Vette rims, though.

Re: Corvette Rims Thread

They are C5 Z06 Offsets. They are Factory Reproductions. I tried 17 on the front, but they hit the tie rods. The 18 clear by a lot.

Re: Corvette Rims Thread

'03 ZO6 wheels with stock vette rubber - 265/40-17 front, 295/35-18 rear.

Test fitting with some 2" spacers I already had (Z85 leafs, 3" blocks)

They clear but it's tight, I'll probably go with a 2.5" spacer

Front clears tie-rods fine (stock spindles, ZQ8 coils) but they'll probably rub the frame on tight turns. 245/50's on 16" trans am wheels rubbed a bit with the same spacer. Snow is down so I haven't test driven them yet.

so ill try here also. i have an 88 s10 im gonna be doing a 3/3 drop here soon, prolly after xmas (and i plan on going lower). i just picked up C4 wheels (sawblades) that are 17X9.5, 275/40/17 & 315/45/17 the tires that are on them will be fine for now. will be getting new ones come summer. what size spacers will i need. i was reading through everyone, and im thinking 2.5F 2.75R. suggestions.

Re: Corvette Rims Thread

according to what everyone on here is saying, if the sawblades have the same backspacing as the c5's, im not sure if they do tho, that 2.25 will work but will sit under the fender so 2.5 is more of a preferred choice, at least thats what im understanding from this whooole looong post

well i did a mock up with the rear. and if i keep the same sized tire for the rear i think i would need a 2.5. i could do the 2.25 but i think it would be close. but ive also determined i will be getting new tires all the way around, come sum,mer and i dont think im gonna put them on till then....

OK, more dumb questions. I pulled the rims off my Vette when I sold it. Would like to throw them on my Sonoma. All 4 are 18x9 with 6.5" BS. I'm lowered 4/5 on spindles and springs. So many differing opinions on spacer size. Any thoughts?

18x10.5 in front will be tough, but i think some have used them before. 18x9.5 +56 would be better. i think you need a 1-inch spacer to level out the rears with the fronts.

Re: Corvette Rims Thread

same, usually 18x9.5 in the front at most. since they are AWD they would run 18x9.5 at all four corners with the same tire sizes, or at least have the same tire diameter if they were to run something staggered. there wa a guy on syty.net running a 18x9.5 in front and 18x12 in the rear....i think it was a 335/30/18 rear tire, pretty small

Any help with this guys? I really don't trust "eyeballing" this as much as spacers cost. TIA

BTW, Those black Vette wheels are the sickest. Maybe I should just sell my Boyds and hook up on those!
