Re: Corvette rims on s10?

The bolt pattern is correct but the backspacing is not, typically people use 2 or 2.5" spacers to run vette wheels on a 2wd.

Hey that's me! If you have a 2wd you will need spacers, if 4x4 then you won't.

Re: Corvette rims on s10?

I run '00 C5 rims, 2.25" spacers. No probs. One thing to keep in mind with spacers this thick is that they need to be bolted to the wheels when the tires are balanced. They should be treated as one piece, or else you'll get a nasty wobble. All the spacers weighed within +/- 2 grams, but it was still enough to have a wicked shimmy at highway speeds.

How wide are your rear rims/tires? I'm running a 275/40/18 on 2.25" spacers, and I've got a good innh from the inside sidewall to the frame...

Re: Corvette rims on s10?

i got some c6 wheels on mine. the 18/19s with a 295- 35- 19 on the rear, and a 225-40-18 on the front. i run a 3 inch spacer on the rear, and a 2 1/2 on the front, with a 3/4 drop. i scrub a little when i turn super sharp, but nothing major... my tires hit the frame on the rear with a 2 1/2 spacer. so i run 3's now... no shaking or nothing... just putting my 2 cents in.

Re: Corvette rims on s10?

hey what is the backspacing on the corvette rims because i put a 4x4 blazer rearend up under my 2wd s10 and as ya'll probably know it sticks out about 2 in. on each side, and someone told me that corvette wheels would work because of the offset, and just put spacers up front are ya'll putting spacers in the rear too???? so whats the backspacing on them???

On the 18s they are 8.5" wide with +56MM offset so backspacing would be 6.45.

Re: Corvette rims on s10?

How about I teach you so you can pass the knowledge on(providing that I am doing it right lol)
?

You start by assuming the wheel is 0MM offset. This means on an 8.5" wheel you start out with 4.25" backspacing. Then according to whether or not the offset is positive or negative you add or subtract that number accordingly.

BUT You have to convert MM to inches before doing so.

MM to IN. conversion unit=.03937

56MM x .03937=2.204"

4.25+2.204= 6.454" backspacing

Half of whatever the wheel width is. Hence 8.5" wheel starting a 0 offset is 4.25" backspacing. 8" wheel would be 4" and so on and so forth.

Re: Corvette rims on s10?

At least you didn't get plain C6s. I like to keep some originality lol, even though our trucks look nothing alike.
