I'm running a brand new blazer disc brake setup that's stock except for drilled slotted rotors that match the fronts

Re: C5 Z06 Vette Brakes

so you do have any plans on doing vette brakes on the rear or are you just going to stick with the stock size blazer brakes?

I'm keeping the blazer brakes, no sense making thing harder and more expensive than they have to be

If I'm not mistaken the C5 rear brakes are just off-the-shelf PBR calipers. No fancy lettering on them or anything.

ah i didnt know that. so basically if i do the c5 setup on the front, just keep the factory rear blazer setup, but get better pads n drilled/slotted rotors to match the front?

Yepp, this is true, no lettering, and the vette rear brakes don't look that much different than the blazer rears, plus the blazer rotors have a drum brake inside that acts as the emergency brake, which I'm going to try to make work since I'm not bagged and can't lay out on a hill

Yepp, the C5 Z06 are red and look a lot better than the plain C5, but underneath the color, they're the same, also, the non-Z06 C6 calipers have a larger "Corvette" script on the front, but otherwise, use the same parts as the C5 calipers, abutment brackets, pads, shims,...ect, and are basically the same brake set-up
