brake caliper bracket bolt

I need some help guys. I bought a 2wd blazer rearend for my truck.. it's a 2001, 3:42 gears, limited slip, with disk brakes.
I already bought the calipers and caliper brackets.

here is my problem.. I need the bolts that bolt the caliper bracket to the hub. I have the ones that actually bolt the caliper to the bracket. but the long ones that hold the assembly to the hub i cannot find. I can't find them anywhere. does anyone have a link or part number they can give me.

Thanks in advance!! i really appreciate the help!

Re: brake caliper bracket bolt

i think they are the same four bolts that hold your drum brakes onto the hub. its 4 bolts and 4 nuts on each wheel location right? bolt is like 1-1/2" long right?

Re: brake caliper bracket bolt

no, it's only 2 bolts that connect this bracket to the hub.

i know which ones you are talking about though... you are talking about this bracket that is mounted to the hub with 4 nuts and bolts... i have that on there, now i just need the bolts to connect the caliber bracket.

Re: brake caliper bracket bolt

OHHHHH you dont mean the hub you mean the backing plate. or at least thats the term I use. So the caliper to the backing plate. I'd help but i got LS1 camaro discs in the back so it might be different, otherwise id take a bolt out and go to home depot and find a match for ya and tell ya what size it is. Sorry man, goodluck.

Re: brake caliper bracket bolt

just take an old one and go to ace hardware. they usually have all kinds of bolts. if not there, just get it from the dealer. at least you know you'll have the right one then.

you could also just pocket one at a local junkyard but why go through the hassle.

if its cool, i would like to steal your paint scheme you got thre...it looks sexy as hell dude

But those bolts thath i have are long bronze colored ones, so i think they are the ones that bolt the caliper to thebracket which is wat you have i think in the picture above, i believe. Or i might be wrong...correct me if i am.

Re: brake caliper bracket bolt

whenever i wake up and remember. Try calling a GM dealership if you have one around you too... post of if you find them.

it's the 2 bolts that bolt the CALIPER BRACKET to the BACKING PLATE

Re: brake caliper bracket bolt

Ya know... If I'd have seen this thread a day earlier I could have helped out. I was installing setback plates and could have easily taken one off and taken measurements.

HOWEVER, tomorrow I am going to move some exhaust brackets around to stop my tailpipe from vibrating on the rear bumper, so I suppose I could take one out to help. These come out from the rear correct? (where I don't have to remove a wheel etc.) It's been a while since I took the rears off. I'm assuming they're just like the fronts.

well in your case the hoses you can get at a local parts store. i always went to autozone or oreillys. the others should have it too.

Re: brake caliper bracket bolt

Yeah, for some reason rubber brake hoses can be hard to find. I had one bust on a Saturday and had to find the parts to fix it by Sunday so that I could drive the 200 miles back to school for class on Monday. I scoured the large college town I was visiting only to find that NO ONE had the part. My dad found some in Atlanta (60 miles away) and drove them out to me so that I could get back to school on time. What a guy...
