What happens when a brake booster goes bad? how can I find out if mine is bad?

Most of the time you'll hear it hissing in the cab, and you won't have power brakes.

u can tell when it takes a shit load to stop your truck, trust me ud kno if ur booster was bad. the brakes would be the same as if ur car was off, by that i mean how hard it is to apply the brakes

yep, if when you press the brakes you hear a hiss or squel then its the booster, i hear it everytime i press mine, leaky boosters are poo
