Braided Brake Lines

ok i did a little searching on here for where to buy stainless steel braided brake lines. im getting the 2 front lines from kore3. i am going to call tomorrow and see if i can the 3 rear blazer braided lines from them as well. but if not i want to know where to buy them. i kind of searched summit and jegs with no luck. im pretty sure i can get them from kore3. i just might need to give them lengths. this thread might be useless but o well. just in case...

Re: Braided Brake Lines

I thought I bought a rear kit from Summit racing? Just because they do not list it, does not mean they cannot get it. Call their customer service #.

The rear kit may just be one piece as the hard lines terminate at the brake cylinders. The only flex piece is the one which mounts to the rear pumpkin and connect the right and left side lines. (this is what I got when I bought the kit)

Check earls plumbing? or Pegasus racing for stainless braided lines and parts.

Re: Braided Brake Lines

W3RD, my blazer is not leaving the backyard until i order SD control arms, new spindles and get all steel braided brake hoses. I'm more worried about the fronts though. If i can order online i will. If not i'll try to have them made here locally. I figure a couple inches longer in the front will be fine. Let me know what happens.

Re: Braided Brake Lines

go buy a used front brake hose from junkyard, bring it in to shop(brake lines/fitting/plumbing type) for making one, they just need exact shape and size of the ends so they can make it on the spot, all you need is the same length which is 6", make sure you ask/call if its DOT approved

however with variety of aftermarekt arms, the travel may change a bit, so best to measure at max psi load on front, near/full lock turn to measure if extra inches is needed for less stress on the lines

doesn't take long to make the lines either

Re: Braided Brake Lines

I'm just too lazy to go measure how long my stock hoses are up front
Plus, if i can find someone online to make them at a decent price i'd rather do that. Just looking for some info. beforehand.

http://www.kore3.com/ ftmfw...

i called tobin up today and was gonna order my braided lines for my c5 calipers. and i asked about getting braided lines for the rear. and he has the 2 lines going from caliper to the rear end, and he's making sure the fittings are right on the one going from the rear end to frame before he sends me the lines. im getting all 5 lines for 154.90 shipped. i dont think thats a bad price for all new braided lines.

def. call them for your brake needs!

Braided lines don't swell. They stay the same diameter so give constant feel.

do a search on google. youll find some articles on it.
