Best non-dust brake pads?

Well after about a week i'm tired of listening to the squeaking that is surley destroying my rotors, so i'm doing brake pads tomorrow or someday this week. Anyone have any luck with finding a good low/no dust pad? I heard the ceramic pads put out little to no dust, can anyone back this up?

Re: Best non-dust brake pads?

Yes ceramic puts creates VERY little brake dust...if even noticeable. And use a good brand like Bendix, etc...

Make sure you resurface those rotors or replace them while you're at it.

Re: Best non-dust brake pads?

I got Summit Racing brand Ceramic pads at a very reasonable price! Once I received them, I was surprised to find out that they were actually Power Stop Ceramic pads! Saved almost $25 just by ordering them with the "Summit" name.

Here's the Summit Racing part number for them: SUM-16-154

Very low brake dust and very quiet too!

Re: Best non-dust brake pads?

O'Reillys has their Brakebest select pads that i've had good reviews about. Little brake dust and long service life.

Try Eagle one Keep Clean to help with keeping the dust off your wheels.

I like the Hawk HPS pads, fairly low dust, no noise, decent life pads.

I hated the set of Akebono's I used a few years ago, noisy as hell, couldn't get'em to shut up. Glad you've had better luck with them.

Re: Best non-dust brake pads?

EBC makes a line of pads that are made for sport driving, they have three levels, REDSTUFF, GREENSTUFF, YELLOWSTUFF, no dust and improved stopping.
they do tend to be a bit spendy, if I remember right, my Greenstuff pads for the front were $70

Re: Best non-dust brake pads?

i mean i just need something to get the job done. If the summit brand ones really are powerstop ceramic pads, and they only want 34 bucks for them, then that's good enough for me.
