re: Backspacing and offset UPDATE!
So this has most likely been asked, but 10 pages is too much.
1992 S-10 2wd. I was looking to do a 3" drop and 15x10's in the rear and 15x7 in the front. I would like the wheels to line up with the body rather than stick out. What backspacing and what not would be required? Thanks -Chris |

re: Backspacing and offset UPDATE!
I went with 15x10 with a 5.5" BS and 15x8 with a 4.33" BS. I am going to run 275/60/15 & 235/60/15 with a 3/4 drop. I have not done this yet but it will be done in the next few weeks.

re: Backspacing and offset UPDATE!
Just as mentioned above, this has probably been asked many times before but I too am way lazy to search 11 pages....
I want to run a set of 18" wheels on a bagged 2nd gen. What is my best choice to tuck this wheel? tire size? offset? backspace? Thanks...Josh |

Re: Backspacing and offset UPDATE!
How's it going? I would like to kno w about two offsets for the s10.
20 x 9- 10 mm offset/ 20 x 9 15mm offset: The tires size is 254/ 35-20 and already purchased.. Which one is the better fit or are they about the same? Thanks in advance. |

Re: Backspacing and offset UPDATE!
I am currently running the Boss 304's on my 1st gen. The fronts are 18x9.5" and the rears are 20x8.5". My problem is that the fronts are too wide (Rim rubs tie rods and shocks) and the rears aren't wide enough. I found a set of rims that are 18x8 for the front with a 4.5" bs and 20x10 for the rear with a 6.225" bs. Now from what I've been researching, it seems as though 6.225" bs is too much and will hit the inside of the frame, so I was thinking would they fit if I were to add a 1/4" spacer? Keep in mind that I plan on removing the inside lip of the rear wheel wells to create more clearance and also my 1st gen lays frame

Re: Backspacing and offset UPDATE!
hey i can get centerline wheels for a good price ... they were on a 86 vette
will i need spacers ... do you think they would just bolt up to my s10, it is 2wd i found that a 86 vette used 6 inch back spacing ... with 225/50/16 these wheels are 17inch what do i need to do ? thanks a lot jason Last edited by stillnotaplayer : 02-06-2010 at 03:50 PM. Reason: more info + |

Re: Backspacing and offset UPDATE!
I have a 98 s10 2wd with a 4/5 drop. I found a set of wheel vintique smoothies they are 15"x6" for the fronts and 15"x8" for the rears. What would the correct backspacing/offset be so i get minimum rubbing? Also a good tire size suggestion for both front and rear would be nice too. I've read the info for both, but i want to get a few other opinions too while im at it.

I have a 95 s10 and i wanted to get a 15x10 wheel on the back, would a 4 1/4" rear spacing rim work? If not what spacing would I need and what size tire would work?

Re: Backspacing and offset UPDATE!
With a 10 inch rim, I would use a 5inch backspacing, 4 14 might stick outside the bed

Do you think I would need to cut out or alter any part of the bed?

Re: Backspacing and offset UPDATE!
so I'm new to the whole s10 world, I'm used to having an import and you just have run a FWD offset and be done with it! I have a 91 2WD blazer and I am looking at getting 20 X 9 rims with a +10mm offset. I'm just wondering if these fill fit without any major issues. I will be bodydropping it next winter so
i want to make sure these wheels will work. |
