Adding Power Brakes

I got a 1.9 '85 with manual brakes. What do I need to get to add power brakes to it? I've gathered that I'll need a brake booster and new master cylinder, but I don't know what else I'll need.

Re: Adding Power Brakes

Yeah I've reading up on general info about power brake systems and it seems like all I have to do is add the brake booster between the master cylinder and brake pedal, and hook up the vacuum for the booster to then engine.

This is exactly what I did on my '68 C10.

Did you have to change your master cylinder or just use the one that was on there?

Re: Adding Power Brakes

Yes I changed the M/C. I bought a kit and it came with a larger one. You might be able to get one from a later model and still work using a proportioning valve.
