The stock headlights.

You should probally be specific about which year lights (94-97 or 98+).

I'm running Silverstar Ultra series lights. If you have a 98+, a lot of people like the plug & play HID kits from eBay.

Yeah like Wrkn_prgs said, I heard the plug & play kits are good, but you gotta get a good brand, some can be cheap.

Re: What have you guys found to be the best headlights?

I was told by a state inspection mechanic that the "ice blue" and "euro" style bulbs tend to dim very rapidly. He said they tend to last forever, but in this state, they're only good for 8 to 12 months are use before they fade to the level of candles.

I'm using basic sylvania bulbs. They give great light as long as your lenses are buffed nice and clear. I've used Silverstars but didn't find it worth doing it again. I just use basic bulbs and keep them relatively fresh.

You can also do the quad beam mod for brighter headlights.

I have no complaints whatsoever with my Silverstar Low Beams, I'm looking to replace my highbeams with them as well.

The SilverStars have a bad rep for not lasting too long.

8k HID's from eBay. They don't work well with the stock glass lens. It breaks up the light rather than focus it on the road.

they probably wont last as long as the factory bulbs but i love them.

I have silverstars both high and low and i only had 1 bulb go out on me (driver's side low beam)but it was over a year and a half before it went out. also it went out right as i started my truck to go to work so i had to throw in the stock bulb back in and i could definitely could tell the difference.

I work at night too so i use them every day. also you could make them last longer if you disable the DRLs.

Re: What have you guys found to be the best headlights?

I would dare to say that a lot of the bad rep that any aftermarket bulb has over a factory style bulb with regards to life span is do to people putting their hands all over the bulbs. According to something I read a while back, touching one of the bulbs with your bare hand can actually shorten the life span of the bulb because of the oils from you skin transferring over to it...or something like that. I read that somewhere, don't know if its actually true or not, but I'm betting, if it is true, that it is the reason for a lot of people being unhappy with an upgraded bulb.

If your headlights are cloudy just wet sand/polish them.

The oils create hot spots on the glass and cause microscopic cracks in the glass allowing air in which burns the filament out faster. This holds true with about any filament based light bulb just worse with ones that burn at a higher temp like headlights.
