Guess What? It is 2008--- and the links still do not work!

This should either get fixed -- permanently, or be removed as a sticky--

Re: VIN Decoder - What all those digits stand for!

I've hosted some info I had stored away for the 1996 model over on my site:
http://togeo.com/togeo/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=295

Unsure if this helps anyone. If the data is out there (I honestly haven't looked), I'd be glad to host the rest. Somebody PM me or something.

I just found a mirror of the LMC Truck VIN decoding sheet. Decided to pop that up on my site, too... Here's the link:
http://togeo.com/togeo/gallery/main.php?g2_itemId=305

There is a link on the Forum Homepage that shows "RPO Codes", but it no longer works. I'm going to PM a mod and see if someone can fix it.

It may be that we don't have it in the database yet, but be sure to check that you have typed it correctly.

I've decoded your VIN for you, but are you sure your VIN is 100% correct? The third letter, which is G, indicates that you have an Isuzu Incomplete.. I feel like your VIN should start out 1GC, like mine does. Anyways, here you go...

1 - U.S. Built
G - General Motors
G - Isuzu Incomplete
C - 4001-5000 weight rating w/HYD brake system
S - Small conventional cab, 4X2
1 - 1/2 ton series
4 - Two door cab
4 - LN2 2.2lt 4 cylinder, MFI, produced in the U.S.
X - Check digit
W - 1998 model year
8 - Production plant (Shreveport, LA)

The last 6 digits is the production number, in this case yours is 657889.

2000 Chevrolet S-10
Ex. Cab | 4.3L "W" | Auto | 4x4 | 3.73 Posi-Traction
Dual Exit Exhaust w/Flowmaster Super 44 Muffler | eBay "Cold" Air Intake
Hankook Dynapro's | U.S. Wheel 844's
PCMForLess Custom Tune

-Sold: 1994 S-10 | Std. Cab | 2.2L | 5spd. | 4:10's
