sweet...but screwed up

Hey guys...Nice nice site you've got going on here...Im new ofcourse, and a new owner of a 89 s-10 blazer 2dr tahoe edition 4x4. It's got a V8, and it's a pretty fast little ride...problem is ...when previous owner swapped out v6 for the 8....there are a few things he did...

- removed all the grill mounts, and welding somethings on the front fender to hold the radiator by tie straps to the truck.

- the V8 uses no computer connections...so guess what...no guages... cant tell how fast im going...just the oil pressure, and the gas guage work.

- None of my 4x4 indicator lights work...

- Missing door panels or they are cracked....and the pastic, carpet, and headliner are crap.

-window switches to to left door work but are missing the nobs...the regualaro and motor on the other door are missing...and non my lock actually lock the actuallators work...just not great ...also my door handles wont actually slap back...they stick out...

Other than that...my truck is cool...problem is were do i find the parts for these trucks...i want to get my intieror nice before i start working on the rusty stuff....and i would like to know what i can do about my grill and stuff....it looks like crap.

Any takers?

Re: sweet...but screwed up

My first stop would be a local junkyard to start piecing it back together.

Re: sweet...but screwed up

ok this is going to turn into a restoration thread... 1st things first....my speedo

I currently have the blue sweep dash...when the V8 was put in...I take it the dash no long worked because it was digital and not mechanical. So are there blazer with mechanical dashes, that will swap out with my 89...or am I just going to have to do aftermarket speedo.

Re: sweet...but screwed up

if i were you i would just make my own gauge cluster, but if you want a stock dash i believe that pre 98 is non digital
