s10 third door window wind noise

hey guys i have an 02 s10 ext cab with a 5.3L my issue is that the weather strip or seal on the window doesnt seal anymore due to being worn or the latch wont pull it tight enough and was curious has anyone had this problem and how did you fix it? any thoughts or input will be greatly appreciated.

I have the same issue, except for me the wind noise comes from the front of the drivers door.

I also have that but it's simple to fix, just a little door tweaking will fix that.

You could try adjusting the latch so that the door closes tighter.

Re: s10 third door window wind noise

What I did was I popped the door panel off and put some self drilling screws through it to pull it tighter. Works perfectly now!

self drilling screws? where did you screw them to keep the rear window tighter? very interested if you have any pics that would be great cause at like 70 it sounds like a jet is taking off next to me.

Re: s10 third door window wind noise

I cracked open the latch to that window a tad. It slightly tightens the window and stops the noise.

Re: s10 third door window wind noise

Unfortunately I can't get you pics.. I've hurt my back and need to rest but I believe I put a few in.. I remember I drilled out the rivets with a pilot bit and put two in there, and then I put in two others.. to determine where they went I just looked at it to see where it needed more tension. If this is the route you take I suggest to only get them started with the drill, and tighten them by hand so you don't strip them. Good luck
