regular cab

I've searched the forums , to no avail , and my question is why do people seem to be putting V8's in regular cab pickup's? Do they hook better ? I was just wondering .

Re: regular cab

i like my extended cab, but if i wanted a truck to drop a v8 in i'd go with a regular cab, weight difference, shorter wheelbase, etc.

Re: regular cab

I believe it has alot to do with a 1 piece driveshaft, xcabs have the 2 piece right? I forget where I was reading that at, but when I had my 1st gen with a 355sbc I chose a regular cab because well already had the 4 banger out so why not lol

Re: regular cab

I admit that i'm pretty partial to regular cabs. Thats part of the fun stuffing the biggest motor in the smallest truck.

Re: regular cab

As far as motor swaps the reg. Cab all the way. But if your just building a lowrider with stock motor I would go ext. Cab so u can fit a bigger stereo system. Lol. JMO.
