the SS had the 4.3 if thats what you are askin...
the SS ran from 94-98 and all had the "W" 4.3 and automatics. all were 2wd and had the ZQ8 suspension(exception is 94, which only had the ZQ8 swaybar) all had the paint matched body panels (grille, bumper, valance) fog lights and no body trim as well as SS badges and the red and black bowtie in the grille, most had rollpans, bucket seats and power everything
these trucks were the predecessors to the xtreme in 98

Hope this helps

*All SS trucks had the B4U and ZQ8 in the RPO codes*

here is my 94 SS:

No, it's not...although it would have been nice. It was a concept truck, and we all know concepts are just that.

Here's the last pics I'll be taking of my truck this year.

And this is why.

She won't see any winter weather. I have a '96 Mazda 626 that's my daily, so I won't be driving my truck at all during the winter if I can help it.

Actually no, the SS trucks did have a few more ponies and with the addition of the stiffer suspension did handle a little better After 94 they were lowered and had the larger diameter swaybars... they got the 16 wheels and all of them were fuel injected instead of the TB on most trucks

You had the choice of engines, 2.2, 4.3 TBI or 4.3 CPI, just more money as you go up the list.

CPI is better than throttle body for sure..... after 96 they changed the fuel injection and it got even better...

throttle body is easier to diagnose problems than CPI... but when both are running right I would take CPI any day
